Liubov Basova
Lyubov Valeriyivna Basova, née Shulika ( uk, Любов Валеріївна Басова (Шуліка); born 16 July 1988), is a Ukrainian track cyclist. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed in the Cycling at the 2012 Summer Olympics – Women's team sprint, Women's team sprint for the national team, along with the individual sprint and the keirin. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, 2016 Olympics, she was the only Ukrainian track cyclist, qualifying for the women's keirin. 2020 UEC European Track Championships
The 2020 UEC European Track Championships was the eleventh edition of the elite UEC European Track Championships in track cycling and took place at the Kolodruma in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, between 11 and 15 November 2020. The event was organised by the European Cycling Union. All European champions are awarded the UEC European Champion jersey which may be worn by the champion throughout the year when competing in the same event at other competitions. Cycling At The 2012 Summer Olympics – Women's Team Sprint
The women's cycling team sprint at the 2012 Olympic Games in London took place at the London Velopark on 2 August. Kristina Vogel and Miriam Welte of Germany won the gold medal with a time of 32.798 seconds. China won the silver medal and Australia took bronze. Competition format The team sprint is a two-lap race between two teams of two cyclists, starting on opposite sides of the track. Each member of the team must lead for one of the laps. The tournament consisted of an initial qualifying round. The top eight teams advanced to the first round. The first round comprised head-to-head races based on seeding (1st vs. 8th, 2nd vs. 7th, etc.). UEC European Track Championships (under-23 & Junior)
The European Track Cycling Championships (under-23 & junior) are a set of competition events held annually for the various disciplines and distances in track cycling, exclusively for European cyclists under the ages of 23 and 18, and regulated by the European Cycling Union (UEC). They were first held in their current format in 2010, when a competition for elite level cyclists was devised and held for the first time following an overhaul of European track cycling. Prior to 2010, similar age group championships were held for many years under the title of European Track Championships, a title now used solely for the elite championships. The Under 23 and Junior championships thereafter were run as an annual separate event under their current name.
