Liu Yu, Prince Of Lu
Liu Yu (; died 128 BC) was a prince of the Western Han Dynasty. He was the fifth son of Emperor Jing of Han, Emperor Jing. His mother was Consort Cheng (程妃). In 155 BC he was instated as Prince of Huaiyang (淮陽王), but a year later his title was later changed to Prince of Lu (魯王). Liu Yu (warlord)
Liu Yu (courtesy name Bo'an; died 193) was a Chinese military general, politician, and warlord who lived during the Eastern Han dynasty. Life Liu Yu's ancestral home was in Tan County (郯縣), Donghai State (東海國), which is around present-day Tancheng County, Shandong. His ancestor was Liu Jiang (劉彊; 25–58 CE), a son and heir apparent of Emperor Guangwu who was deposed in 43 CE and became the Prince of Donghai (東海王). His grandfather Liu Jia (劉嘉) served as Minister of the Household (光祿勳), while his father Liu Shu (劉舒) served as the Administrator (太守) of Danyang Commandery (丹陽郡). Liu Yu held various appointments in the Han government during the reign of Emperor Ling ( 168–189), including Chancellor of Ganling State (甘陵國相), Minister of the Imperial Clan (宗正), Inspector of You Province (幽州刺史) and Grand Commandant (太尉). Emperor Ming of (Liu) Song ((劉)宋明帝) (9 December 439 – 10 May 472), personal name Liu Yu (劉彧), courtesy name Xiubing (休炳), childhood name Rongqi (榮期), was an emperor of the Chinese Liu Song dynasty. He became emperor after his violent and impulsive nephew Liu Ziye was assassinated in 465, as he was regarded as more lenient and open-minded at first. However, he soon turned cruel and suspicious as well after becoming emperor, and during his reign, his nephews and brothers were nearly all slaughtered on his orders. Liu Yu (born 24 December 1975) is a Chinese writer and political scientist. She is an associate professor of political science at Tsinghua University in Beijing. A prominent spokeswoman for Chinese liberalism, Liu's book ''Details of Democracy'', an introduction of the workings of American democracy to a Chinese audience, was acclaimed as a creative and well-written cornerstone of the ideological movement. Liu Yu (; Pinyin: ''Liú Yǔ''; born May 12, 1985 in Chengdu, Sichuan) is a Chinese football player who currently plays for Chengdu Better City as a defender. Club career Liu Yu started his professional football career in 2004 with top tier club Sichuan First City when he made his league debut against Beijing Guoan on March 16, 2004 in a 1–1 draw in Sichuan's first game of the season.
