Little Bird (film)
''Little Bird'' ( es, Pajarico, links=no) is a 1997 Spanish drama film written and directed by Carlos Saura which stars Paco Rabal, Alejandro Martínez, and Dafne Fernández. Plot The plot follows Manuel "Manu", a 10-old-year boy from Madrid arriving in the province of Murcia for a Summer stay under his uncles so he can distance from the separation of his parents. There he experiences puppy love with cousin Fuensanta. Cast Production The story is freely based on Saura's childhood memories about his time in the Region of Murcia. worked as cinematographer whilst was responsible for the music and for editing. The film is a Filmart production. Release The film was presented in August 1997 at the 21st Montreal World Film Festival, where Saura won the Best Director award. Francisco Rabal Valera (8 March 1926 – 29 August 2001), better known as Paco Rabal, was a Spanish actor, director, and screenwriter born in Águilas, a town in the south-western part of the province of Murcia, Spain. Throughout his career, Rabal appeared in around 200 films working with directors including Francesc Rovira-Beleta, Luis Buñuel, José Luis Sáenz de Heredia, Carlos Saura, Pedro Almodóvar, William Friedkin, Michelangelo Antonioni, Claude Chabrol, Luchino Visconti, and Gillo Pontecorvo. ''Fotogramas'' is Spanish digital and print film magazine which has been in circulation since 1946. It is one of the early film magazines in Spain. History Founded in Barcelona, it was first published on 15 November 1946 by Antonio Nadal-Rodó and María Fernanda Gañán. On 5 February 1951, the magazine awarded their first Placa de San Juan Bosco award to actor Jesús Tordesillas for his performance in 1950 film ''Pequeñeces''.
