''Little Big Star'' is a singing contest aired every Saturday afternoon on ABS-CBN in the Philippines and worldwide on The Filipino Channel. The show was hosted by a Filipina singer and actress Sarah Geronimo. the series premiered on Saturday, from September 24, 2005, to February 3, 2007, replacing ''Hoy Gising! Kapamilya'' and was replaced by '' Little Big Superstar''. The show features aspiring young singers who battle it out each week to become the next Little Big Star. The "Little Big Star" competition is divided into two "divisions"; the Little Division for contestants ages 6 to 9 years old and the Big Division with contestants ages 10 to 13 years old. Makisig Morales appeared on the TV reality-show ''Little Big Star'' and is the delivery man of the boy band Mak and the Dudes. As a child actor, he played the lead role in the ''International Emmy-nominated fantaserye, ''Super Inggo''.'' At the age of 5 Makisig Morales competed in the Duet Bulilit, a singing segment in MTB (TV program)#Magandang Tanghali Bayan (1998-2003), MTB, noon-time variety show of ABS-CBN, together with his sister Mayumi. ''Pinoy Dream Academy'' (also known as PDA) is the Philippine version of Endemol's ''Operación Triunfo'' (Operation Triumph). The format is similar to Big Brother, where a set number of finalists (billed as "scholars" throughout the series) would live inside the Academy for four months and will be trained by guest teachers to be multimedia performers.
