Lithuania In The Eurovision Song Contest 2024
Lithuania participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö, Sweden, with "" performed by Silvester Belt. The Lithuanian broadcaster, (LRT), organised the national final in order to select the country's representative at the contest. Lithuania was drawn to compete in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 7 May 2024 and was later selected to perform in position 3. At the end of the show, "" was announced among the top 10 entries of the first semi-final and hence qualified to compete in the final. It was later revealed that Lithuania placed fourth out of the fifteen participating countries in the semi-final with 119 points. In the final, Lithuania performed in position 7 and placed fourteenth out of the 25 performing countries, scoring a total of 90 points. Silvester Belt
Silvestras Beltė (, born 26 November 1997), professionally known as Silvester Belt, is a Lithuanian singer and songwriter. He represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with the song "". Early life Beltė was born in Kaunas, Lithuania. At the age of four, he developed an interest in music and began to attend music school. After his graduation, he continued his studies at the Juozas Gruodis Conservatory in Kaunas. In 2019, he graduated from the University of Westminster in London with a degree in Commercial Music Performance. After graduation, he began working in a beauty salon. In January 2021, he returned to Lithuania where he signed with a record label; initially, he intended to return to London, but could not due to quarantine regulations. LRT televizija, formerly known as LTV 1, is the flagship television channel of Lithuanian National Radio and Television (''Lithuanian:'' Lietuvos nacionalinis radijas ir televizija). History LRT televizija was launched on 30 April 1957 as LTV (Lietuvos Televizija), and began broadcasting in colour in 1975 using SECAM colour. is a folk rock band from Vilnius, Lithuania. They were formed in 2001 as a collaboration between the pagan metal group Ugnėlakis and the pagan folk group Kūlgrinda.
