Lithuania In The Eurovision Song Contest 2018
Lithuania participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with the song " When We're Old" written by Vytautas Bikus. The song was performed by Ieva Zasimauskaitė. The Lithuanian broadcaster Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT) organised the national final ''"Eurovizijos" dainų konkurso nacionalinė atranka'' (Eurovision Song Contest national selection) in order to select the Lithuanian entry for the 2018 contest in Lisbon, Portugal. The national final took place over nine weeks and involved 50 competing entries. The results of each show were determined by the combination of votes from a jury panel and a public vote. In the final, six artists and songs remained and "When We're Old" performed by Ieva Zasimauskaitė was selected as the winner. Lithuania was drawn to compete in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 8 May 2018. Ieva Zasimauskaitė
Ieva Zasimauskaitė (born 2 July 1993) is a Lithuanian singer who represented Lithuania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with her song " When We're Old". She had previously participated in the Lithuanian national selection for the Eurovision in 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2017, and participated again in 2022. Biography Ieva Zasimauskaitė was born and raised in Kaunas, the second largest city of Lithuania. In 2012, she graduated from Kaunas Vytautas Magnus University Rasos Gymnasium in Kalniečiai. Georgios Kalpakidis, also known as George Kalpakidis, Gorgi or GK (Greek: Γιώργος Καλπακίδης; born on 27 April 1978 in Tübingen, Germany), is a Greek songwriter, former journalist, radio & TV host, best known for having composed the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest entry for Moldova, "Stay" by Anna Odobescu. Vilija Pilibaitytė (born 19 July 1983), better known by her stage name Mia, is a Lithuanian singer, songwriter and television host. In 2004, she released her debut single "Kiekvienam", which was successful in Lithuania. Since 2009, she has hosted the show ''Muzikinė karuselė'' ("Musical carousel"). Marcel Závodi, popularly known as Zävodi (born 4 June 1999), is a Hungarian singer-songwriter, most notable for participating in A Dal 2017.
