Listen To The Lion (film)
''Listen to the Lion'' is a 1977 short feature from Australia. Plot A Sydney derelict lies drunk in an alley and is beaten up by thugs. A friend helps him find refuge in a night shelter. As he lies dying he has a vision of himself flying about the room. The man dies and after the cremation of his corpse, his spirit returns to the footpath. Henri Safran
Henri Safran (born 7 October 1932) is a Paris-born director who worked extensively in Australia. He worked in French television, then in Britain, before moving to Australia in 1960 to work with the ABC. He became an Australian citizen in 1963 but returned to England in 1966 to work on British television. Wyn Roberts (actor)
Wynn Roberts (born 1923/1924 – 24 August 2021) credited also as Wyn Roberts and Wynne Roberts, was an Australian radio, stage and screen actor who appeared in more than 70 film and television productions between the early 1950s and 2001. He appeared in numerous TV plays and also featured in TV miniseries over a career spanning 50 years. His television credits include ''Homicide'', ''Prisoner'', '' Special Squad'', ''Neighbours'', ''The Flying Doctors'', ''Police Rescue'', ''A Country Practice'' and '' Wildside''. He is also known for his role as Sergeant Bumpher in the 1975 film classic '' Picnic at Hanging Rock''. He was also a leading stage actor, starting from the late 1940s. Harold Charles Sydney Heylen (25 May 1922 – 4 December 1996), credited variously as Syd Heylen, Sid Heylen and Sydney Heylen, was an Australian character actor of radio, stage, television and film, comedian, and variety performer and soldier, he often performed in a traditional vaudeville style in the vein of Roy Rene. He was best known for his role in ''A Country Practice'', as the RSL club manager, barman and chef Vernon "Cookie" Locke, alongside Gordon Piper as his mate Bob Hatfield. Cookie and Bob were styled as a version of The Odd Couple, with Cookie as the slob and Bob as the neat one. In the series he was briefly engaged to town gossip Esme Watson (Joyce Jacobs) He went into vaudeville after World War II and in 1956 starred in the variety show "The Show of Stars" with straight man Hal Lashwood and John Ewart.
