This list of tallest buildings in Taipei ranks skyscrapers in the Taiwanese capital region of Greater Taipei by height, which includes the cities of Taipei City and New Taipei City, hereafter simply referred to as Taipei. Xinyi Planning District ( zh, 信義計畫區), also known as the Xinyi Planning Area, is located in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. The total area of the Xinyi Planning District is 153 hectares. It was designed in the 1970s and developed from the 1980s onward. Xinyi Planning District is the prime central business district of Taipei. Important infrastructure, such as Taipei 101, Taipei City Hall, Taipei International Convention Center and Taipei World Trade Center, is located within this area. Historical Development Its historical development began in 1976, when the Taipei Municipal Government accepted the proposal to redevelop the area east of the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. The Fubon Xinyi A25 () is an under-construction skyscraper located in Xinyi Special District, Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. It will be the sixth-tallest building in Taiwan and the fourth-tallest in Xinyi Special District. Designed by Renzo Piano, the height of building is 266.3 m, the floor area is , and it comprises 56 floors above ground, as well as 4 basement levels.
