Powys (; ) is a Local government in Wales#Principal areas, county and Preserved counties of Wales, preserved county in Wales. It is named after the Kingdom of Powys which was a Welsh succession of states, successor state, petty kingdom and principality that emerged during the Middle Ages following the end of Roman rule in Britain. Llanidloes High School
Llanidloes High School is a state secondary school and sixth form in Llanidloes, Powys. The school had 564 pupils on roll in 2016. It is an English-medium school with significant Welsh language provision, with pupils attending from other parts of Powys. Gwernyfed High School

Crickhowell High School
Crickhowell High School is an English medium co-educational secondary school situated in the town of Crickhowell in the county of Powys, Wales, within the Brecon Beacons National Park. The school was built to meet the needs of the growing community and opened as a new school in 1983. It now has about 920 pupils, but was only originally intended to hold 550. The school attempted to meet the potential overcrowding issues by expanding the main building, installing new IT devices throughout the complex, and building a larger, more modern "6th Form block" for the 180 students studying A/AS levels. Exam results In 2005 at GCSE, the percentage of pupils gaining at least five grades A*-C including Mathematics and English had risen from 59% to 79% since the last inspection, compared to a rise of three percentage points nationally. Ysgol Calon Cymru (meaning 'Heart of Wales School') is a bilingual secondary comprehensive school with campuses in Builth Wells and Llandrindod Wells, Powys, mid Wales. It replaced Builth Wells High School and Llandrindod High School and opened at the former schools' sites in September 2018. Brecon High School
Brecon (; cy, Aberhonddu; ), archaically known as Brecknock, is a market town in Powys, mid Wales. In 1841, it had a population of 5,701. Llanbedr Church In Wales School
Llanbedr () is a village and community south of Harlech. Administratively, it lies in the Ardudwy area, formerly Meirionnydd, of the county of Gwynedd, Wales.
