Paulusheim
St. Paulusheim is an independent '' Gymnasium'' in Bruchsal, Germany with sponsorship of the school foundation of the archdiocese of Freiburg. It was founded by the Pallottines, originally as a boys' boarding school. Paulusheim is rooted in a boarding school of the small Italian community of Masio near Alessandria. In 1915, Pallottines had to leave Masio because of the war. So they came to Bruchsal, the former homeland of the headteacher. After temporary accommodation in an inn, they moved into a new purpose-built building on the cloister hill in Bruchsal. During World War II, the nazis shut down the school for some time. However, it was the first school of Northern Baden to continue teaching. As there were not enough boarding school pupils, the boarding school was closed in the 80s, but the day school has been continued and expanded. Künzelsau
Künzelsau (; East Franconian: ''Kinzelse'') is a town in Baden-Württemberg, in south central Germany. It is the capital of the Hohenlohe district. It is located on the river Kocher, 19 km (12 mi) north of Schwäbisch Hall, and 37 km (23 mi) northeast of Heilbronn. Geography The city of Künzelsau is located, at elevation , along the Kocher River, a right tributary of the Neckar River, some 40 km east (25 mi) of Heilbronn. The city is, after Öhringen, the second largest city of the Hohenlohe district, whose seat it is. The Hohenlohe district was created on 1 January 1973 by merging the former districts of Künzelsau (KÜN) and Öhringen (ÖHR). Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium Heilbronn
The Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium Heilbronn is a '' Gymnasium'' in the city of Heilbronn. The roots of school date from a ''Lateinschule'' (Latin school) of the 15th century. In 1620, the school was converted into a Gymnasium. From 1827 to 1938, it was named the Karlsgymnasium. In 1880 the school moved into a new building that had been built in 1878 on the Karlstraße, where the current school is located. In 1938 the Karlsgymnasium was temporarily merged with a boys' middle school and renamed the Karlsoberschule. During World War II, an Allied air raid on December 4, 1944, destroyed the school building, which was then used as a hospital for wounded people. All teaching aids and most of the historical library that was not outsourced were consumed by the flames.
