''The Ancient Art of War at Sea'' is a computer game developed by Broderbund and released for Macintosh and DOS in 1987 as a sequel to ''The Ancient Art of War''. Plot The player commands a fleet of ships in this naval-combat simulation which takes place in the late 18th century. Controllable ship types include the 44-gun frigate with 250 crew, 74-gun (including 10 carronades) ship-of-the-line with over 600 crew, and the 130-gun (including 22 carronades) flagship with 875 crew. The player faces one of six opponents, each of which employs a different strategy against the player. Realtime Games Software Ltd. was a British computer game developer, founded in 1984 by three Leeds University students Ian Oliver, Andrew Onions, and Graeme Baird. Their first game, ''3D Tank Duel'', was a wireframe graphics game, in the style of Atari, Inc.'s '' Battlezone'' arcade game, for the ZX Spectrum. This was followed up with ''Starstrike 3D'', a game based on Atari's ''Star Wars'' arcade game. Starfox was published in 1987, and ''Carrier Command'' was published in 1988. The company was also involved in porting ''Elite'' to IBM PC compatibles and ''Starglider'' to the ZX Spectrum. Realtime's early titles were self-published. Later games were published by Rainbird. ''Carrier Command'' is a 1988 video game published by Rainbird for the Amiga, Atari ST, IBM PC compatibles, ZX Spectrum, Macintosh, Commodore 64, and Amstrad CPC. ''Carrier Command'' is a cross between a vehicle simulation game and a real-time strategy game where players control a robotic aircraft carrier. Plot The game is set in the near future, where a team of scientists have developed two robotic aircraft carriers to colonise an archipelago of sixty four islands. Unfortunately, the more advanced carrier falls into the hands of a terrorist organization, and they plan to conquer the archipelago for their own evil ends. It is the player's job to use the less advanced carrier to colonise the islands and destroy the enemy carrier. Kure Software Koubou
Kure Software Koubou (呉ソフトウェア工房), or KSK, is a Japanese game development company founded in 1985 that creates games for many platforms, but focusing mostly on home computers. KSK's games are well known for the "Gochyakyara" (ゴチャキャラ "Multiple Character") system which KSK invented, which was a unique hybrid between the real-time strategy, action role-playing game and tactical role-playing game genres. Some of their games also used a European art style in addition to a Japanese anime style. The Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost name refers both to a car model and one specific car from that series. Originally named the " 40/50 h.p." the chassis was first made at Royce's Manchester works, with production moving to Derby in July 1908, and also, between 1921 and 1926, in Springfield, Massachusetts. Chassis no. 60551, registered AX 201, was the car that was originally given the name "Silver Ghost." Other 40/50 hp cars were also given names, but the Silver Ghost title was taken up by the press, and soon all 40/50s were called by the name, a fact not officially recognised by Rolls-Royce until 1925, when the Phantom range was launched.
