The premier of New South Wales is the head of government in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The Government of New South Wales follows the Westminster Parliamentary System, with a Parliament of New South Wales acting as the legislature. The premier is appointed by the governor of New South Wales, and by modern convention holds office by his or her ability to command the support of a majority of members of the lower house of Parliament, the Legislative Assembly. Before Federation in 1901 the term "prime minister of New South Wales" was also used. Sian Elias
Dame Sian Seerpoohi Elias (born 13 March 1949) is a New Zealand former Government official, who served as the 12th Chief Justice of New Zealand, and was therefore the most senior member of the country's judiciary. She was the presiding judge of the Supreme Court of New Zealand and on several occasions acted as Administrator of the Government. Hagop Pakradounian ( hy, Յակոբ Բագրատունեան, ar, هاغوب بقرادونيان), originally Hagop Pakradouni is a Lebanese politician of Armenian descent, and the leader of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation in Lebanon. Hagop Pakradounian was born as Hagop Pakradouni in Beirut, in 1956. Pakradounian, who has a degree in political science, is the current Member of Parliament representing the Armenian Revolutionary Federation in the Lebanese Parliament from the Metn Region. He was a candidate in the legislative elections of 2000 for the Armenian Orthodox seat in Beirut but lost against candidates backed by former Prime Minister of Lebanon Rafik Hariri. Karim Pakradouni ( ar, كريم بقرادوني hy, Քերիմ Բագրատունի) (born 18 August 1944) is a Lebanese attorney and politician of Armenian origin. He was influential in Kataeb Party heading it for some period. He was also influential in the Lebanese Forces in various critical phases of the LF. He was also minister of state in a Rafic Hariri government in 2004. Early life and education Pakradouni was born in the Armenian district of Beirut, Bourj Hammoud, on 18 August 1944 to an Armenian Orthodox father Minas Pakradounian and Maronite Catholic mother, Lour Shallita from Qartaba. His father, Minas Pakradounian, left the Ottoman Empire in 1920 and settled in Aleppo, Ottoman Syria. Several years later, he moved to Lebanon where he married Shallita. Patrick Devedjian ( hy, Պատրիկ Դեւեջեան; 26 August 1944 – 28 March 2020) was a French politician of the Union for a Popular Movement (UMP) party. A close adviser of Nicolas Sarkozy since the 1990s, he was Minister under the Prime Minister in charge of the Implementation of the Recovery Plan, a special ministerial post created for two years following the global financial crisis of 2008, a tenure which commenced in December 2008. Marios Garoyian ( el, Μάριος Καρογιάν; hy, Մարիոս Կարոյեան; born 31 May 1961) is a Greek Cypriot politician. He served as leader of the Democratic Party from 2006 to 2013. On 06/03/2008, he was elected President of the House of Representatives of Cyprus, thereby holding the highest elected post currently held by an Armenian outside of Armenia.
