Flag Of Sabah
The flag of Sabah, a state of Malaysia, was adopted on 16 September 1988. It is red, white and three different shades of blue. The mountain is in the canton as in the 1963 flag, but now in dark blue on a light blue background. The field is medium blue over white over red. The mountain shown on the flag (and the state's coat of arms) is Mount Kinabalu. Sandakan
Sandakan (, Jawi: , ) formerly known at various times as Elopura, is the capital of the Sandakan District in Sabah, Malaysia. It is the second largest city in Sabah after Kota Kinabalu. It is located on the Sandakan Peninsula and east coast of the state in the administrative centre of Sandakan Division and was the former capital of British North Borneo. In 2010, the city had an estimated population of 157,330 while the overall municipal area had a total population of 396,290. The population of the municipal area had increased to 439,050 by the 2020 Census. Before the founding of Sandakan, Sulu Archipelago was the source of dispute between Spain and the Sultanate of Sulu for economic dominance in the region. Amelia Alicia Anscelly (born 26 April 1988) is a Malaysian badminton player who specializes in doubles. In 2015, she won the Grand Prix Gold title at the Syed Modi International tournament in the women's doubles event partnered with Soong Fie Cho. Anthony Lamb (botanist)
Datuk Anthony L. Lamb M.A., Dip. Ag., D.T.A., P.G.D.K. (born 1937) is a British botanist, born in British Ceylon and specializing in the flora of Sabah, East Malaysia, on the northwest portion of the island of Borneo. Lamb was educated in the United Kingdom, at Blundell's School in Tiverton and at St John's College at Cambridge. Lamb arrived in Sabah, then part of the British Crown Colony of North Borneo, in 1962 and started work on developing agricultural settlement schemes around Tawau. In 1981, Lamb set up the Tenom Orchid Centre as a Sabah State Government conservation project. He is co-author of ''Rhododendrons of Sabah'' (1988) and ''Pitcher-Plants of Borneo'' (1996), and a coordinator and a co-author of the ''Orchids of Borneo'' series. Anthea Phillipps
Datin Anthea Phillipps B.Sc. (born 3 June 1956) is a British botanist. Phillipps was brought up in Sabah, Borneo as a child (and still dwells there today). She received a Botany degree from the University of Durham, England. She worked at the Sabah Museum before joining the Sabah Parks service from 1980 to 1987 as Park Ecologist, where she studied rhododendrons and pitcher plants. She lives in Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah, and is married to Datuk Anthony Lamb (with two children, Serena and Alexander Lamb). Anifah Aman
Anifah bin Haji Aman @ Haniff Amman ( Jawi: عنيفه بن أمان @ حنيف أمان; born 16 November 1953) is a Malaysian politician. Presently he is the President of Love Sabah Party (PCS). He formerly had served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia from April 2009 to May 2018. Anifah is also the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Beaufort (1999-2004) and Kimanis (2004-2019) in Sabah. He was a former member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) which is part of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition, until he quit to be an Independent politician in 2018. Securities And Futures Commission
The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) of Hong Kong is the independent statutory body charged with regulating the securities and futures markets in Hong Kong. The SFC is responsible for fostering an orderly securities and futures markets, to protect investors and to help promote Hong Kong as an international financial centre and a key financial market in China. Andrew Sheng
Tan Sri Andrew Sheng (born 1946) is Hong Kong-based Malaysian banker, academic and commentator. He started his career as an accountant and is now a distinguished fellow of Fung Global Institute, a global think tank based in Hong Kong. He served as chairman of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) before his replacement by Martin Wheatley in 2005. Early life Sheng grew up in British North Borneo (today Sabah, Malaysia). He left Malaysia in 1965 to attend the University of Bristol in England, where he studied economics. Perak () is a state of Malaysia on the west coast of the Malay Peninsula. Teluk Intan
Teluk Intan is a town in Hilir Perak District, Perak, Malaysia. It is the district capital and largest town in Hilir Perak district and fourth largest town in the state of Perak with an estimated population of around 172,505, more than half of Hilir Perak district's total population (232,900). In the early days, the town was known as Teluk Mak Intan, after a female Mandailing trader. It was here that the Perak rulers held court from 1528 until Kuala Kangsar became the royal town in 1877. During the British protectorate era, the named was changed to Teluk Anson (Anson Bay), in honour of a British officer and last lieutenant-governor of Penang, Major-General Sir Archibald Edward Harbord Anson, who drew the plan of the modern township in 1882.
