Lynda Lemay (born 25 July 1966 in Portneuf, Quebec) is a Canadian francophone singer-songwriter. Through her mother she is a descendant of Zacharie Cloutier. After winning regional awards in 1989 she went to France and regularly tours in Quebec and France, including at the Paris Olympia. Chimène Badi (; born 30 October 1982 in Melun, Seine-et-Marne), also known by her mononym Chimène, is a French singer of Algerian descent. Early life Badi was born in Melun in the Paris suburbs to a family of Algerian origin. She spent her entire childhood in the south-west of France. She grew up in Villeneuve-sur-Lot with her parents, Chérifa and Mohammed, her sister, Déborah, and her brother, Karim. Her sister Déborah encouraged her to persevere with her singing and Chimène went on to hone her vocal style still further, performing at family parties and regional song contests from the age of six. ''300 Lésions'' is a 2004 album recorded by French pop-rock act Kyo. It was released on December 28, 2004, and achieved huge success in France, Belgium (Wallonia) and Switzerland, where it was respectively #1, #1 and #2. This album, entirely composed by the band, is its third album overall and remains to date its second most successful one. It provided two singles : "Contact" (#8 in France, #11 in Belgium, #37 in Switzerland) and "Sarah" (#33 in France, #31 in Belgium, #65 in Switzerland).The single "Contact" is featured on the videogame FIFA 06. Kyo (band)
Kyo is a French rock band with lead by Benoît Poher. The band was active from 1997 to 2005 with three albums ''Kyo'' (2000), '' Le Chemin'' (2003) and ''300 Lésions'' (2004) and a string of singles. It announced a hiatus in 2005 without a definite break-up. In 2006, Kyo was involved in launching " L'Or de nos vies" written by Kyo and its lead singer Benoît Poher for the Fighting AIDS charity in 2006.
