Caustic Love
''Caustic Love'' is the third studio album by Scottish singer-songwriter Paolo Nutini, released on 14 April 2014 by Atlantic Records. After releasing his critically and commercially successful album '' Sunny Side Up'' (2009), Nutini toured for two years. In February 2011, Nutini began writing and recording the album ''Caustic Love'', which he co-produced with Dani Castelar. Upon release, ''Caustic Love'' was met with positive reviews from music critics, who noted the album as "the best UK R&B album since the 1970s blue-eyed-soul heyday." Commercially the album was a success; it debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart with 109,000 copies sold, making it the fastest-selling album of the year in the region. Lilly Wood and the Prick (also known simply as Lilly Wood and LILLYWOOD) is a French folk pop duo composed of Nili Hadida and Benjamin Cotto. Although the duo is French, Nili was born in Israel. They are best known for their single "Prayer in C", which was remixed and released as a single in 2014 by German DJ and producer Robin Schulz; the song has topped the charts in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Israel, Lebanon, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. "Prayer in C" is a song by French folk pop duo Lilly Wood and the Prick, originally released on their album ''Invincible Friends'' in 2010. In 2014, German DJ and record producer Robin Schulz remixed the song, and the remix was re-released in June 2014. He used a CD of ''Invincible Friends'' as the source, and initially made his remix available as a free download, to the consternation of the copyright owners, Wagram Music. The Schulz remix topped the French Singles Chart. Felix Martin Andreas Matthias Blume (born 3 August 1984), known professionally as Kollegah, is a German rapper. He releases his music via his own label, Alpha Music Empire. Born in Friedberg and raised by a single mother in Simmern, he started rapping in the Reimliga Battle Arena in December 2004. Carlo Waibel (born 31 January 1990), better known by his stage name Cro, is a German rapper, singer, and producer. He describes his music as a mixture between rap and pop, which he calls "raop". He is known for wearing a panda mask on stage. Early life Cro was born Carlo Waibel. Marco Pfeuti (born 1968 in Oppligen near Thun), better known by his stage name Gölä, is a popular Swiss rock musician performing mainly in Bernese German. Career The debut album of Gölä's eponymous band ''Uf u dervo'' (1998; en, Up and Away) sold 250,000 copies, acquiring quintuple platinum status as one of Switzerland's most successful Swiss German music albums.
