List Of Motorcycle Trials Champions
The FIM Trial World Championship and FIM X-Trial World Championship are the most prestigious motorcycle trials tournaments of the world, organised by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme. The outdoor championship is held since 1964 and the indoor (X-Trial) since 1993. From 1964 to 1967 the championship was named Challenge Henry Groutards. From 1968 to 1974, it was the Trial European Championship, and from 1975 onwards it has been known as the World Championship. Up until 2010, the outdoor world trial championship has been won by 6 different pilots from the UK, 5 from Spain, 2 from Finland and France, and 1 from Belgium, Germany, United States, Japan and Sweden. Dougie Lampkin 2007FIM R1a
The Dougie ( ) is a hip hop dance generally performed by moving one's body in a shimmy style and passing a hand through or near the hair on one's own head. The dance originated in Dallas, Texas, where it took its name from similar moves performed by 1980s rapper Doug E. Fresh. The Dougie gained notoriety through rapper Lil' Wil, whose song "My Dougie", released in late 2007, became a local hit. Then, a person called C-Smoove in Southern California taught the future members of Cali Swag District how to do the dance. Cali Swag District recorded the song "Teach Me How to Dougie" and filmed the music video in Inglewood, California, during the summer of 2009. Jordi Tarrés (born 10 September 1966 in Rellinars, Spain) is a Spanish former international motorcycle trials rider. He competed in the FIM Trial World Championships from 1985 to 1997. Tarrés is notable for being a seven-time motorcycle trials world champion. Alexz Wigg
Alexz Wigg (born 11 November 1989), is an English people, English International motorcycle trials rider. Biography Born in Aylesbury, United Kingdom, Wigg started riding at 4 years of age. He progressed through the schoolboy trials ranks and was European Youth Champion in 2004. For 2006 Wigg rode a Gas Gas motorcycle and contested the Youth World Championships and European Junior Championships, emerging as winner of both titles. 2007 saw him finish runner up in the Junior World Championships. For the 2008 season he was again runner-up in the Junior World Championship, and that year also in the Junior European Championship. Rebekah Cook Talbot (born 3 August 1986) is an English woman's international motorcycle trials rider. Rebekah is nine times British Women's Trials Champion, winning in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013. In 2012, she was also European Women's Trials Champion. Biography Cook has been competing in the British Women's Trials Championship class since 2004 and won the championship in her first year. This started a six-year run of championship wins until she finished runner-up to Gas Gas rider Joanne Coles in 2010. Antoni Bou
Antoni Bou i Mena () (born 17 October 1986) is a Spanish professional motorcycle trials rider. He has been the sole outdoor and indoor FIM Trial World Championship champion from 2007 to 2022. With these 32 world titles (16 outdoor and 16 indoor), he is the most successful rider in history, surpassing Dougie Lampkin (7 outdoor and 5 indoor) and Jordi Tarrés who is third with 7 outdoor titles. Jeroni Fajardo
Jeroni Fajardo (born 5 April 1985), is a Spanish International motorcycle trials rider. Fajardo was the 2002 FIM European Trials champion and member of the winning Spanish TDN team in 2004 and 2006 through 2015. Biography Fajardo made his international debut in the FIM European Championship in 2002, winning the title after victories in Italy, Norway and Poland. He also made his FIM Trial World Championship debut the same year, and by 2004 he was included in the Spanish TDN winning team, the world's top Trial De Nations team alongside Albert Cabestany, Max Freixa and Adam Raga. Maria Conway (born 19 May 1984 in Oxford, England), is a former British Women's International motorcycle trials rider. Conway was British Women's Trials Champion in 2002 and a member of the winning British Women's TDN team in 2006 and 2007. Biography Conway competed in the inaugural Women's World Trials Championship in 2000 placing 9th in the series. In 2001 Conway again competed in the World Championships, narrowly missing out on the podium finishing in 4th place, the top placed British rider in the event. 2002 was to be Conway's year, taking the first ever British Women's Trials Championship ahead of Donna Fox and placing 5th in the World Championships that year held in Portugal. Albert Cabestany
Albert Cabestany (born 26 June 1980 in Tarragona, Spain), is an International motorcycle trials rider. He was Spanish Outdoor Trials Champion in 2002, and Indoor Champion in 2002, 2003 and 2006. Biography Cabestany competed in his first international competition in 1997 at the age of 16, riding his Beta in the Portuguese round of the FIM Trial European Championship and finishing in 8th place. At the second round in Spain he narrowly missed the podium with a 4th-place finish. After competing for the full season he ended the year 7th in the standings. He also rode in the Spanish round of the FIM Trial World Championship scoring 2 points for a 14th-place finish. Claire Bertrand (born 7 September 1982), is a former French Women's International motorcycle trials rider. Bertrand is 7 times French Women's Trials Champion, winning the title in 2000 through 2006 inclusive and was a member of the winning French Women's TDN team in 2004. Kramer is notable for winning six German Women's Trials Championships, three Women's FIM Trial European Championships and the 2007 Women's FIM Trial World Championship. Laia Sanz Pla-Giribert (born 11 December 1985), also known as Laia Sanz, is a Spanish sportswoman. She is a fourteen-time Women's Trial World Champion and ten-time Women's Trial European Champion in outdoor motorcycle trials.
