List Of Foreign Canadian Soccer League Players
This is a list of foreign players in the Canadian Soccer League ''(formally Canadian Professional Soccer League)'', which commenced play in 1998. The following players must meet the following criteria: #Are considered foreign, i.e. outside Canada, determined by the following: ::''A player is considered foreign if he is not eligible to play for the national team of Canada.'' More specifically, *If a player has been capped on international level, the national team is used; if he has been capped by more than one country, the highest level (or the most recent) team is used. These include Canadian players with dual citizenship. *If a player has not been capped on international level, his country of birth is used, except those who were born abroad from Canadian parents, or moved to Canada at a young age, and those who clearly indicated to have switched his nationality to another nation. Canadian Soccer League
The Canadian Soccer League (CSL; french: Ligue canadienne de soccer — LCS) is a semi-professional league for Canadian soccer clubs primarily located in the province of Ontario, and claims the history of the Canadian National Soccer League (CNSL). It is a Non-FIFA international football, Non-FIFA league previously sanctioned by the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA), but now affiliated with the Soccer Federation of Canada (SFC). As of 2022 Canadian Soccer League season, 2022, it consists of six teams all located in Ontario. The season runs from May to October, with most games played on the weekend followed by a playoff format to determine the overall champion. The league was formed in 1998 as the Canadian Professional Soccer League (CPSL) by an alliance forged by the Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) with the Canadian National Soccer League. Huffman Eja-Tabe
Huffman Eja-Tabe (born May 6, 1981 in Limbe, Cameroon) is a former professional soccer player who played in the USL First Division, Canadian Soccer League, and the USL Premier Development League. Career Before turning professional he played four seasons at Algonquin College winning the OCAA Silver Medal in 2001, and the CCAA Championship in 2002. In 2003, he received his second OCAA Silver Medal and in 2004 the OCAA Provincial Champion. In 2002 and 2004 he was selected as OCAA League All-Star, and was a CCAA All-Canadian selection in 2004. Brantford Galaxy Soccer Club was a semi-professional Canadian soccer club based in Brantford, Ontario, Canada, with their home venue located in Hamilton, Ontario at the Heritage Field Turf. The club competes in the Canadian Soccer League, a league not sanctioned by a FIFA-recognized body. The Galaxy were formed in 2010 as an expansion franchise. In their first season Brantford recorded a milestone by becoming the first expansion franchise in CSL history to claim a CSL Championship in their debut season. Hamilton Croatia is a Croatian Canadian amateur soccer team founded in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1957. It is supported by the Croatian Sports and Community Centre of Hamilton Inc. Preston Corporal (born March 9, 1987) is a Liberian former footballer who played in the Liberian Premier League, Malaysian Super League, National Football League, National Premier League, and the Canadian Soccer League. Playing career Corporal began his career in 2002 with Watanga FC of the Liberian Second Division League, and at the conclusion of the season he was named the Liberia Football Association Most Valuable Player. Hamilton Thunder
The Hamilton Thunder were a soccer team located in Hamilton, Ontario, playing in the Western Conference of the Canadian Professional Soccer League. The team played its home fixtures at Brian Timmis Stadium until a rent dispute with the city caused home games to be moved to Vaughan midway through the 2005 season. Fuseini Dauda is a retired Ghanaian-Canadian association football player who played professionally in the USL A-League. In 1995, Dauda played for the Hamilton White Eagles FC in the Canadian National Soccer League. In 1996, he moved south to the Rochester Rhinos of the USISL A-League, playing three seasons with the Rhinos. Toronto FC Academy, also known as TFC Academy, is the youth academy and development system of Canadian Major League Soccer club Toronto FC. The academy has divisions from U14 to U19 and includes over 110 young players. The senior academy team is known as Toronto FC III. Amadou Sanyang (born 1 August 1991) is a Gambian footballer who plays as a defender or midfielder. Career Professional Sanyang began his professional career with Real de Banjul of the Gambian Championnat National D1. Sanyang's time with Real de Banjul was a successful one, and in 2007 he was honoured as the best midfielder in the Gambian League.
