Association Football
Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players who primarily use their feet to propel the ball around a rectangular field called a pitch. The Landesliga ( en, Football State League) is a tier of football in some states of the German football league system. In Bavaria, Saxony, Thuringia, Bremen, Lower Saxony and Hamburg, the Landesligas are set right below the Oberliga and therefore are the sixth tier. The reason for this is that Bavaria, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, and Bremen are the only places in Germany where the Oberliga, the State, and the Verband are geographically the same, while the other two states simply chose to call their leagues ''Landesligas'' when establishing them in 1990. SG Bornim
SG Bornim is a German association football club based in Bornim, an Ortsteil of Potsdam in Brandenburg. History Founded in September 1927, the club merged with ''Schwarz-Weiß-Grün Universum Töplitz'' in 1928 to play as ''Brandenburger Sport Club Bornim Schwarz-Weiß-Grün''. The club played in the local Havelland circuit until 1945. Following World War II, the club was disbanded before being re-established as ''Sportmeinde Bornim''. Located in the Soviet-occupied eastern part of the country, the Bornim side became part of the separate football competition that emerged there. Potsdamer Kickers
The Potsdamer Kickers are a German football club based in the north of Potsdam in Brandenburg. After the 2010–11 season and for the first time in their 17 years of existence, the Potsdamer Kickers were relegated; having started playing in the Kreisklasse, the team had slowly worked their way up through the German football league system to the Landesliga Brandenburg-Nord (VII) for the 2009–10 season, only to be relegated back to the Landesklasse after two years. Fortuna Babelsberg is a German football club from the south-eastern part of the city (''Am Stern'') of Potsdam in Brandenburg. A former top-flight East German side, they currently play in the Landesklasse Brandenburg-West, the eighth tier of the German football league system. Potsdam () is the capital and, with around 183,000 inhabitants, largest city of the German state of Brandenburg. It is part of the Berlin/Brandenburg Metropolitan Region. Brandenburg-Liga
The Brandenburg-Liga (VI) (''formerly the Verbandsliga Brandenburg'') is the highest league for football teams exclusively in the German state of Brandenburg and at step six of the German football league system. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the fifth tier of the league system, until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the fourth tier.
