South Korean boy group Shinee have received several awards and nominations for their music work. The group was formed by SM Entertainment in 2008 and released their first full-length album, ''The Shinee World'', on August 28, 2008, which won the Newcomer Album of the Year at the 23rd Golden Disk Awards. The first single released from the album was "Love Like Oxygen", which won first place on ''M Countdown'' on September 18, 2008, making it the group's first win on Korean music shows since debut. Their second album ''Lucifer'' (2010) produced two singles, "Lucifer" and "Hello". For their outstanding choreography the group was nominated for the Best Dance Performance Award at the Mnet Asian Music Awards in 2010. Asia Song Festival
Asia Song Festival, A-Song-Fe or ASF, is an annual Asian pop music festival held in South Korea, since 2004. It is hosted by Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange (KOFICE) and features artists from Asian countries. Participating artists are awarded a plaque of appreciation by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and ''Best Asian Artist'' by the chairman of Korea Foundation for International Culture and Exchange (KOFICE). South Korean boy band TVXQ is the only act to have participated for five consecutive years, since the 1st festival in 2004. The Soribada Best K-Music Awards (previously abbreviated as SOKA and currently abbreviated as SOBA) is an awards ceremony presented by the digital music platform Soribada to celebrate the best and brightest of K-pop releases. M Countdown
''M Countdown'' () is a South Korean music program broadcast by Mnet. The show features appearances by popular music artists who also perform live on stage. It is broadcast from CJ E&M Center Studio in Sangam-dong, Mapo District, Seoul. Broadcast ''M Countdown'' airs live on domestic television at 6PM KST every Thursday. Live streaming is available internationally via the ''M Countdown On Air'' page on Mwave's website. In the Philippines, online multi-view live broadcast of the show is available via gigafest.smart. It began airing on the free-to-air TV5 network from January 31, 2021, however due to low ratings on the network, it will conclude on March 6, 2022. ''The Shinee World'' (stylized as The SHINee WORLD) is the first studio album recorded by South Korean boy band Shinee. It was released on August 28, 2008, under SM Entertainment.
