The Kingdom of Yugoslavia ( sh-Latn-Cyrl, separator=" / ", Kraljevina Jugoslavija, Краљевина Југославија; sl, Kraljevina Jugoslavija) was a state in Southeast Europe, Southeast and Central Europe that existed from 1918 until 1941. Nikola Uzunović
Nikola Uzunović ( sr-cyr, Никола Узуновић; 3 May 1873 – 19 July 1954) was a Serbian politician who served as Prime Minister of Yugoslavia on two occasions. Early life Born in the city of Niš, as Nicola Uzun to a family of Aromanian ancestry, he graduated from Faculty of Law at the Great School in Belgrade (now University of Belgrade). Later he would practice law as a judge, and became the president of the first instance court, the district chief, and secretary of the Cassation Court in Belgrade. Political career In 1904, aged 31 he was elected to the Niš municipality, and after eight months, a deputy in front of the Radical Party, a party he would remain in until 1934. Ante Mandić
Ante Mandić (2 June 1881 – 15 September 1959) was a lawyer and Croatian and Yugoslavian politician. During World War I, as a representative of the Yugoslav Committee in Saint Petersburg from 1915, he organised a Yugoslav volunteer detachment in Odessa. He moved to London in 1917 to work as the secretary of the central office of the Yugoslav Committee in London. After returning to the newly-formed (1918) Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (later renamed "Yugoslavia" in 1929), Mandić pursued a career in law. After the September 1943 surrender of Italy in World War II Mandić allied himself with the Yugoslav Partisans and was appointed the president of the National Liberation Committee in Opatija, a delegate to the State Anti-fascist Council for the National Liberation of Croatia (ZAVNOH). Srđan Budisavljević
Srđan Budisavljević (8 December 1883 – 20 February 1968) was a politician and lawyer born in Požega. Budisavljević stuied law in Zagreb and Berlin before being elected to the Sabor of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia in 1908 as a representative of the Croat-Serb Coalition led by Frano Supilo and Svetozar Pribičević. Budisavljević was appoined the interior minister of the new the government of Croatia-Slavonia. In 1918, Budisavljević was among founders and the secretary of the National Council of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs – a body composed of political representatives of the South Slavs living in Austria-Hungary tasked with achieving independence of South Slavic lands from the empire. Radenko Stanković
Radenko Stanković (April 26, 1880 – December 5, 1956) was Regent of Yugoslavia for the underage Peter II from 1934 to 1941, alongside Prince Paul, the head of the regency, and Ivo Perović. The son of a priest, he was born in Néramogyorós (''Leskovica''), Austria-Hungary, which today is Lescovița village, Caraș-Severin County, Romania. Yugoslav Coup D'état
The Yugoslav coup d'état took place on 27 March 1941 in Belgrade, Kingdom of Yugoslavia, when the regency led by Prince Paul of Yugoslavia was overthrown and King Peter II fully assumed monarchical powers. The coup was planned and conducted by a group of pro-Western Serbian-nationalist Royal Yugoslav Army Air Force officers formally led by the Air Force commander, General Dušan Simović, who had been associated with several putsch plots from 1938 onwards. Brigadier General of Military Aviation Borivoje Mirković, Major Živan Knežević of the Yugoslav Royal Guards, and his brother Radoje Knežević were the main organisers in the overthrow of the government.
