World Boxing Council
The World Boxing Council (WBC) is an international professional boxing organization. It is among the four major organizations which sanction professional boxing bouts, alongside the World Boxing Association (WBA), International Boxing Federation (IBF) and World Boxing Organization (WBO). Many historically high-profile bouts have been sanctioned by the organization with various notable fighters having been recognised as WBC world champions. All four organizations recognise the legitimacy of each other and each have interwoven histories dating back several decades. Mari Ando
is a former professional boxer. Professional career Ivanova turned professional in 2008 & compiled a record of 7–3 before defeating Amara Naktaku, to win the inaugural WBA atomweight title. She defended the title once before losing it to Ayaka Miyao. She would attempt to regain the title in a rematch the following year but lost again via unanimous decision. Ando announced her retirement in 2016 after losing a rematch to Yuko Kuroki for the WBC mini-flyweight title. Simona Galassi (born 27 June 1972) is an Italian former boxer. As a professional, she competed from 2006 to 2015 and was a world champion in two weight classes, having held the WBC female flyweight title from 2008 to 2011 and the IBF female junior-bantamweight title from 2011 to 2012. Siriporn Thaweesuk (often known by her ring names, Samson Sor Siriporn or Samson Tor Buamas) (born 26 April 1983) is a female light-flyweight professional boxer from Lopburi Province, Thailand. She is a former WBC female world light flyweight champion. Thaweesuk was convicted of selling amphetamines and sentenced to ten years in prison. Thaweesuk won the title while serving a prison sentence, and was granted an early release from Thai prison after winning a world title, having been promised such prior to her victory.
