Sydney United 58 Football Club is a semi-professional soccer club and current NSW NPL Champions based in Edensor Park, Sydney, New South Wales Australia. The club was formed as Sydney Croatia in 1958, by Croatian Australians in the area, but it was renamed in 1993 as Sydney United after having the name Sydney CSC for a season. Sydney United currently competes in the National Premier Leagues New South Wales, hosting matches at the Sydney United Sports Centre in Edensor Park. United are a sister club of the Melbourne Knights, a Croatian club in the NPL Victoria. The club is a regular participant in the Australian-Croatian Soccer Tournament. Nick Bosevski
Nick Bosevski (born 2 December 1976) is an Australian footballer. He played two seasons for IFK Norrköping. Bosevski spent most of his playing career in Australia with a spell at Liège, Belgium (then in Division 2) in 2000/2001 and at Norrköping, Sweden (2002 and 2003). He was a late-season addition to Norrköping in the 2002 Allsvenskan, making his debut at Landskrona on 12 September 2002. Four days later, for his first match at Norrköping, he scored a hat-trick against Elfsborg. 1999–2000 National Soccer League
The 1999–2000 National Soccer League season, was the 24th season of the National Soccer League in Australia. Overview 1999–2000 was the first season since a 1995–96 rebrand to be officially known as the National Soccer League after Ericsson withdrew their sponsorship shortly before the season. The league was originally scheduled for 17 teams, however with the late withdrawal of the Southern Stars, (previously Adelaide Sharks and West Adelaide) Soccer Australia was forced to redraw fixtures less than a week out from the season. The rescheduled 34-week season saw each team play two teams four times, and the remaining teams two times. Wollongong Wolves won the championship. Mile Sterjovski
Mile Sterjovski (born 27 May 1979) is an Australian former football (soccer) player. Sterjovski played mainly as a right winger or as a second striker, but also played as a left winger and central midfielder. He is currently the head coach of Macarthur FC. Sterjovski played youth football with Wollongong Wolves and the AIS before making his senior debut for Wolves in the National Soccer League. After also playing for Wollongong United, Sydney United and Parramatta Power, Sterjovski moved overseas to play for French club Lille OSC. He also spent time in Switzerland (with Basel) and Turkey (with Hacettepe) before joining Derby in the English Premier League. He eventually returned to Australia to play in the A-League for Perth Glory and Central Coast Mariners, separated by a period playing for Dalian Aerbin in the Chinese Super League. Abbas Saad ( ar, عباس سعد; born 1 December 1967) is an Australian soccer manager and former player, who is currently managing National Premier Leagues NSW side Sydney Olympic. The 1995–96 A-League season was the first year of a rebranded Australian National Soccer League (NSL) and the twentieth since the national league began in 1977. The competition was variously known as the A-League and the Ericsson Cup (as part of a sponsorship arrangement) at the time. Background After an attempt to reduce the number of NSL teams from 14 to 12, the Australian Soccer Federation announced that a new competition known as the A-League would operate in parallel to the NSL. After a series of legal challenges, the A-League became the sole national league with largely the same composition of teams as the previous NSL season. The change was seen at the time as a rebranding rather than a new competition. Prior to the season beginning, the league announced a sponsorship agreement with Ericsson that was supposed to last until 2000, though was terminated a year early in mid-1999. David Allen Zdrilic ( hr, Zdrilić; born 13 April 1974) is an Australian soccer coach and former player, who is currently the assistant coach of Serie A club Genoa.
