List Of Svenska Cupen Winners
The Swedish Football Association have organized a nationwide knock-out cup competition known as Svenska Cupen for 60 years, first between 1941 and 1953 and then again from 1967 to present day. There have been a few years in these two periods when cup competition has not been held. The present cup holders are Östersunds FK, who beat IFK Norrköping in the 2017 final. It involves professional and amateur clubs of all standards playing against each other, creating the possibility for "minnows" to become "giant-killers" by eliminating top clubs from the tournament. 13 teams have reached the final while playing in a lower division, however two of these reached the final unhindered during the 1948 tournament when no first tier teams competed. All of the second tier teams have lost in the final except for Råå IF in 1948 and Degerfors IF in 1992–93, both of whom faced second tier opposition. The Swedish Football Association ( sv, Svenska Fotbollförbundet, SvFF) is the governing and body of football in Sweden. Olympia (Helsingborg)
Olympia, sometimes referred to as ''Olympiastadion'' ( en, Olympic Stadium), is a football stadium in Helsingborg, Sweden. It was opened in 1898, but has been rebuilt in 1993, 1997 and 2014–2017, and has a capacity of 17,200 (9,673 seated and about 7,500 ground attendance stands). All stands can be converted into seaters, giving a capacity of around 13,000). It is the home ground of Allsvenskan side Helsingborgs IF. On October 22, 2014 the Helsingborg City Council, who owns Olympia, unanimously voted to renovate and rebuild the stadium. BK Kenty
BK Kenty is a Swedish sports club located in Linköping. Background Bollklubben Kenty was formed on 10 April 1932 by John Schön, Gösta Dahlqvist, Enar Johansson and Folke Dättermark â€“ all teenagers. The Kenty name has its origins in kid's interest at that time in reading Cowboy and Indian books. A few letters in the name Kentucky were changed and hence the name Kenty was born. Initially the club operated as a youth club before men's and boys' football became the club's main activity. In 1968 BK Kenty women's football was added. Other sports that the club ran included ice hockey, bandy, tennis, bowling and handball before these sections were transferred to other clubs. BK Kenty has participated mainly in the middle and lower divisions of the Swedish football league system. Åtvidabergs Fotbollförening, also known simply as Åtvidabergs FF, Åtvidaberg, Åtvid or (especially locally) ÅFF, is a Swedish professional football club based in Åtvidaberg. Nya Parken, formerly known as Norrköpings Idrottspark, also known as PlatinumCars Arena for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-purpose stadium in Norrköping, Sweden. It opened on 25 September 1903 and is currently used mostly for football matches. It is the home arena for IFK Norrköping, IK Sleipner and for IF Sylvia.
