The following is a list of South Korean idol musical bands. This includes a list of boy bands and girl groups, organized by year of debut. Teen Top
Teen Top () is a South Korean boy band formed by TOP Media in 2010. The group is composed of five members: C.A.P, Chunji, Niel, Ricky and Changjo. Originally a six-piece group with L.Joe, the former member had filed for contract termination in February 2017. Teen Top debuted with their first single album ''Come into the World'' on July 9, 2010. Career Teen Top members Ricky and Niel were both child actors. Niel debuted through the musical ''Please'', where he played the younger version of Joo Won's role. Ricky debuted in Seo Taiji's music video for "Human Dream" and later portrayed the young version of Song Seung-heon's character in ''Love Song''. Four of Teen Top's Members such as Changjo, Niel, C.A.P, and L.Joe had an open Lotte World audition whereas the other members (Chunji and Ricky) had a closed audition. Chocolat (group)
Chocolat (Hangul: 쇼콜라, ''Syokolla''), commonly stylized as ChoColat, was a South Korean girl group created by Paramount Music in 2011. The group's name stems from the idea that each member is reminiscent of a different type of chocolate. The name of the group was initially going to be "Chocolate", but there was already a group with that name, so Paramount Music decided to use the French word ''chocolat'' instead. The group consists of total of five of former members: Jaeyoon, Min Soa, Juliane, Tia and Melanie, The group became inactive in 2013. Melanie confirmed in an interview that the group members' contracts had concluded in February 2017 and the group had disbanded. C-REAL () was a five-member South Korean girl group formed by NAP Entertainment in 2011. They debuted with their song ''No No No No No'' on October 12, 2011. Their group name was taken from the first letter of each member's name. They are dubbed as the "5-IU Idols" because they are produced by Choi Kab Won, who also produced IU. History 2011: Debut with ''Round 1'' C-REAL released their debut EP, ''Round 1'', with the title track "No No No No No" produced by Brave Brothers, on October 12, 2011. In November 2011, C-REAL started their Japanese promotions through a route different from their peers. Boyfriend () is a South Korean boy band formed by Starship Entertainment in 2011. They are the first boy group to have twin members. The group consists of Kim Dong-hyun, Shim Hyun-seong, Lee Jeong-min, Jo Young-min, Jo Kwang-min and No Min-woo. They debuted on Mnet's ''M Countdown'' on May 26, 2011 with "Boyfriend". Block B ( ko, 블락비) is a South Korean boy band managed by KQ Entertainment, and consists of seven members: Taeil, B-Bomb, Jaehyo, U-Kwon, Park Kyung, Zico, and P.O. Block B has received several accolades, including nominations for seven Golden Disc Awards and eleven Seoul Music Awards. Block B was created by musician Cho PD in 2011 on a budget of US$1.4 million. Blady () was a five-member South Korean girl group originally formed by SY6 Entertainment and later produced by Star Planet. The group released the pre-debut retro-inspired single "찌릿찌릿 (Spark Spark)" on May 16, 2011 and their title track "미친 날 (Crazy Day)" on July 27, 2011. The group debuted on April 23, 2011 with the single "O.K" from the EP ''Let's Fly'', after being introduced to the public through a webtoon. The group has had considerable commercial and critical success in both the Korean and Japanese markets. They have also toured in the United States. Apink ( ko, 에이핑크, ja, エーピンク) is a South Korean girl group formed by IST Entertainment (formerly Play M Entertainment, A Cube Entertainment, and Plan A Entertainment). The group debuted on April 19, 2011, with the extended play (EP) ''Seven Springs of Apink.'' Apeace
Apeace (in Japanese, エーピース; in Korean, 에이피스), formerly known as Double B 21 (더블비21) or Double B, was a South Korean boy band formed and under Golden Goose Entertainment. The group was the largest K-pop boy band, with 21 members, until 30 June 2014, when it changed to 15 members. As of July 29, 2018, it changed into 12 members. The members were chosen and produced by Kim Kyungwook, known for working with groups such as H.O.T., Shinhwa and TVXQ.
