B1A4 () is a South Korean boy band formed by WM Entertainment. The group debuted on April 23, 2011 with the single "O.K" from the EP ''Let's Fly'', after being introduced to the public through a webtoon. They have released nine studio albums (four Korean and five Japanese) and seven Extended play, EPs, as well as four compilation albums. The group has had considerable commercial and critical success in both the Korean and Japanese markets. They have also toured in the United States. History Pre-debut Baro (singer), Baro, the rapper of the group, was scouted by a company representative who came across his photo posted on his friend's homepage on the social network Cyworld. At his audition, Baro sang Sumi Jo's "Once I Leave" and Sung Si-kyung's "The Road to Me", as well as rapping and beatboxing. Jung Jin-young (; born November 18, 1991), professionally known as Jinyoung, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor. He was a member of boy group B1A4, being its former leader. He is currently managed by BB Entertainment. He has also gained recognition with the television series ''Love in the Moonlight'' (2016) and ''Police University (TV series), Police University'' (2021). Cha Sun-woo (Korean: 차선우, born September 5, 1992), better known by his stage name Baro, is a South Korean rapper, singer, lyricist, and actor. He is a former member of boy group B1A4 and is currently under HODU&U Entertainment. Shin Dong-woo (, born June 16, 1991), better known by his stage name CNU, is a South Korean singer and actor. He is best known for being a member of the South Korean boy group B1A4. Gong Chan-sik (born August 14, 1993), better known by his stage name Gongchan, is a South Korean singer and actor. He is a member of the South Korean boy group B1A4. Career Pre-debut Gongchan was discovered on Cyworld as a result of his winning of an "Eoljjang Challenge" when he was in middle school. Kim Hak-chul, better known by his stage name Kim Yeon-woo (; born July 22, 1971) is a South Korean male singer, vocal coach, and professor at Seoul Art College ( :ko:서울종합예술학교).
