A university () is an institution of higher (or tertiary) education and research which awards academic degrees in several academic disciplines. Universities typically offer both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. In the United States, the designation is reserved for colleges that have a graduate school. An-Najah National University ( ar, جامعة النجاح الوطنية) is a Palestinian non-governmental public university governed by a board of trustees. It is located in Nablus, in the northern West Bank. The university has 22,000 students and 300 professors in 19 faculties. It is the largest university in the State of Palestine. Manifesto It was chartered as a full-fledged university in 1977. Applied Research Institute–Jerusalem
The Applied Research Institute - Jerusalem (ARIJ; ar, معهد الابحاث التطبيقية - القدس) is a Palestinian NGO founded in 1990 with its main office in Bethlehem in the West Bank. ARIJ is actively working on research projects in the fields of management of natural resources, water management, sustainable agriculture and political dynamics of development in the Palestinian Territories. Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU; ar, جامعة بوليتكنك فلسطين) is a university located in Hebron, West Bank, Palestine. The school was founded in 1978 by the University Graduates Union (UGU), a non-profit organization in Hebron. Enrollment in 2007 exceeded 5000 students. PPU has five colleges: College of Engineering, College of Information Technology and Computer Engineering, College of Applied Science, College of Administrative Science and Informatics and College of Applied Professions. It offers a master's degree in Mechatronics, Mathematics, Biotechnology, and Informatics. It offers two-year diploma degrees and a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering. Ibrahimieh College
Ibrahimieh College ( ar, الكلية الابراهيمية بالقدس) is a private school and college in the a-Suwane neighborhood of East Jerusalem. History Nihad Abu Gharbieh, who worked as a teacher at the Ibrahimieh National School in the Musrara quarter of Jerusalem, became the sole proprietor of the school in 1931. Since then it has expanded to include an elementary school, a high school and a community college that offers associate degrees (diploma) in child education, business administration, accounting and office management. On May 24, 2010, the college signed an academic agreement with the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business in Amman, Jordan. On 28 July 2022, its permanent license was cancelled by the Israeli Ministry of Education over incitement against Israel and the Israel Defense Forces in its textbooks. Hebron University
Hebron University is a non-profit, public university in the city of Hebron, West Bank. It has an undergraduate enrollment of more than ten thousand students. History The late mayor of Hebron, Sheikh Mohammad ‘Ali Al-Ja’bari, wished to establish an institution of higher learning to offset restrictions and obstacles created by the occupation by Israel. In 1971 the foundation was laid and forty-three students joined the 'Sharia' college from different parts of the Palestinian Territories. in 1983, the campus was attacked by Israeli settlers resulting in the deaths of three students, and 50 students were injured. After the attack the university was closed by the newly formed Israeli Civil Administration for a period of time. Birzeit University (BZU; ar, جامعة بيرزيت) is a public university in the West Bank, in the State of Palestine, registered by the Palestinian Ministry of Social Affairs as charitable organization.
