Ibrahimieh College
Ibrahimieh College ( ar, الكلية الابراهيمية بالقدس) is a private school and college in the a-Suwane neighborhood of East Jerusalem. History Nihad Abu Gharbieh, who worked as a teacher at the Ibrahimieh National School in the Musrara quarter of Jerusalem, became the sole proprietor of the school in 1931. Since then it has expanded to include an elementary school, a high school and a community college that offers associate degrees (diploma) in child education, business administration, accounting and office management. On May 24, 2010, the college signed an academic agreement with the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business in Amman, Jordan. On 28 July 2022, its permanent license was cancelled by the Israeli Ministry of Education over incitement against Israel and the Israel Defense Forces in its textbooks. East Jerusalem
East Jerusalem (, ; , ) is the sector of Jerusalem that was held by Jordan during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, as opposed to the western sector of the city, West Jerusalem, which was held by Israel. The Palestinian territories are the two regions of the former British Mandate for Palestine that have been militarily occupied by Israel since the Six-Day War of 1967, namely: the West Bank (including East Jerusalem) and the Gaza Strip. Musrara ( ar, مصرارة, he, מוסררה, also known by its Hebrew name, Morasha, ) is a neighborhood in Jerusalem. It is bordered by Meah Shearim and Beit Yisrael on the north, the Old City on the south, Bab a-Zahara to the east, and the Russian Compound and Kikar Safra to the west. Adnan Ghaleb al-Husayni ( ar, عدنان غالب الحسيني) (born 1946) was the Palestinian governor of Jerusalem: 'Adnan Hussein, the Palestinian governor of Jerusalem.' and of the Quds Governorate between 2008 and 2018 when he was succeeded by Adnan Ghaith. Education in the Palestinian Territories refers to the educational system in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, which is administered by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education. Enrollment rates amongst Palestinians are relatively high by regional and global standards.
