List Of Norwegian Women Bandy Champions
This list of Norwegian women bandy champions shows all champions since the start. Championship for men's teams have been played since 1912, while championship for women's teams have been played since 1984. The winner of the men's teams championship is given a trophy called ''kongepokal'' ("king's cyp"). A ''kongepokal'' was also given to the women's teams champions 1986–1995, but has since not been awarded the women champions because of too few participating teams in the championship tournament. The premier league for women's teams consists of six teams. The top four teams go to a play-off for the championship. The women's championships has been played with teams with fewer players than the regular number of eleven from the official start in 1984, but the number of players has gradually been raised; since 2010 the women's championships is played with nine-player teams. The team having won the most championships is Stabæk IF, having won 20 championships including the one in 2014, overtaking Drafn’s 19 that year. The Norwegian Bandy Premier League (''Eliteserien'') has been played since 1932 and consists (for the time being) of eight teams. After the regular league, the six leading of the league teams go to a play-off which decides what team will be the Norwegian champion. From the start in 1912, bandy in Norway was played with seven players on each team and was called «ishockey» (literally "ice hockey"), but the sport was actually bandy. Idrettsforeningen Ready is a sports club in Vestre Aker, Oslo, Norway. The club was established on June 14, 1907 by Aage Blom Lorentzen. The football club play their home games at Gressbanen in Oslo. Gressbanen was the arena for the Norway national team before Ullevaal was constructed in 1928. Former Norwegian international Dan Eggen has played for Ready. Ready's elite bandy team started playing in the Norwegian Bandy Premier League 2004–05, where they remain. The club has 14 Norwegian championships; the last one in 2015 after having won their 13th championship in 1927. He was captain of the national bandy team and twice man of the year in Norwegian bandy, Christian Waaler, plays for the team. He is making an attempt to bring bandy to the Philippines. Sagene is a borough of the city of Oslo, Norway. The area became part of the city of Oslo (then Christiania) in 1859.
