Pat Brittenden
Pat Brittenden (born 1973) is a New Zealand broadcaster, blogger and political commentator. Background Educated in Auckland at Sacred Heart College and St Peter's College, Brittenden worked in current affairs and talkback for Newstalk ZB from 2004 until his resignation at the end of 2011. His stated reason for resigning was "to pursue some personal business opportunities". Brittenden has also worked for More FM Auckland, Coastline FM (now More FM Tauranga), Life FM, Newstalk ZB and New Zealand's Rhema. He was for a time the weekend breakfast announcer at Classic Hits. Survivor NZ
''Survivor NZ'' was a New Zealand reality game show based on the international '' Survivor'' format. The series premiered on 7 May 2017 on the TVNZ 2, which also holds the broadcast rights to ''Australian Survivor''. The show was renewed for a second season filmed in early 2018 and released on April 22. Following the basic premise of other international versions of the format, it features a group of contestants who are marooned in an isolated location, where they must provide food, water, fire, and shelter for themselves. The contestants compete in challenges for rewards and immunity from elimination. The contestants are progressively eliminated from the game as they are voted out by their fellow contestants until only one remains and is given the title of "Sole Survivor" and awarded the grand prize. Treasure Island (TV Franchise)
''Treasure Island'' is a reality competition television franchise. The programme originated in New Zealand in 1997, where it was originally produced by Touchdown Television and broadcast by TVNZ, with later editions produced for broadcasters in Australia and Ireland. In the programme, contestants are isolated on a remote Fijian island (early shows were filmed in Tonga) and compete for a cash prize of NZ$25,000. From the 2019 edition, the winner will receive NZ$100,000 for their chosen charity. Suzy Cato
Suzanne Noreen Cato (born 20 June 1968) is an Australian-born New Zealand children's entertainer. She is best known as the host of several New Zealand children's television programmes, most notably '' Suzy's World'' and '' You and Me''. Career Cato began her broadcasting career at the KCCFM radio station in Whangarei, before she moved to Auckland to begin her television career in 1990. Cato's first role on television was as a presenter of the New Zealand version of the popular children's television series '' The Early Bird Show'' with a puppet character named Russell Rooster. After The Early Bird Show, Cato moved on to hosting the children's television show '' 3pm''. In 1993 Cato presented the successful ''You and Me'' television show, which aired over 2000 episodes. Tina Carline
Christina Mei Carline (née Ngaparu; 1948 – 29 February 2020) was a New Zealand television and radio broadcaster. She was the first weather presenter on TV One after the dissolution of the NZBC in 1975. Early life and family Born in Wellington in 1948 of Māori descent, Carline affiliated to Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Te Arawa, and Ngāti Raukawa. She was the daughter of Huitao and Barbara Duff Ngaparu, growing up in the Hutt Valley and being educated at Upper Hutt College, where she was named as best speaker in the school debating club in 1965. After leaving school, Ngaparu trained as a bookkeeping machinist. In 1970, she was one of 14 hostesses at the New Zealand Expo '70 pavilion in Osaka for seven months, and then travelled in Europe and North America for three months. John James Campbell (born 10 February 1964) is a New Zealand journalist and radio and television personality. He is currently a presenter and reporter at TVNZ; before that, he presented ''Checkpoint'', Radio New Zealand's drive time show, from 2016 to 2018. Cathy Campbell
Catherine Elizabeth Campbell ( 1962 – 23 February 2012) was a New Zealand broadcaster, journalist and public relations consultant. She worked as a presenter and reporter on radio and television, and in 1989 became the first woman to anchor a New Zealand sports show. Later she launched her own public relations company, Cathy Campbell Communications. Campbell was the daughter of Gwen and Malcolm Campbell. She was married to television producer Ric Salizzo, and they had one son. Campbell died in 2012 from a brain tumour. Geoff Bryan
Geoff Bryan (born 1956) is a New Zealand television broadcaster, currently a newsreader for MediaWorks Radio and one of the breakfast hosts on Magic. Career Bryan was born in Kent, England, and moved with his family to Australia first and then to Wellington when he was a child, in the late 1960s. He completed a degree in Political Science and History at Victoria University of Wellington, before working in radio, including as a DJ for 2ZM in Wellington in the late 1970s and 1980s. He progressed into television in 1982, and became a sports presenter for TVNZ in 1987. Bryan, along with Keith Quinn and John McBeth were laid off by TVNZ 2007, before the company invited all three to compete for a single vacancy in Auckland.
