Cathy Campbell
Catherine Elizabeth Campbell ( 1962 – 23 February 2012) was a New Zealand broadcaster, journalist and public relations consultant. She worked as a presenter and reporter on radio and television, and in 1989 became the first woman to anchor a New Zealand sports show. Later she launched her own public relations company, Cathy Campbell Communications. Campbell was the daughter of Gwen and Malcolm Campbell. She was married to television producer Ric Salizzo, and they had one son. Campbell died in 2012 from a brain tumour. Public relations (PR) is the practice of managing and disseminating information from an individual or an organization (such as a business, government agency, or a nonprofit organization) to the public in order to influence their perception. Public relations and publicity differ in that PR is controlled internally, whereas publicity is not controlled and contributed by external parties. Ric Salizzo
Riccardo Michele Salizzo (born 22 July 1962) is a New Zealand journalist, television presenter and producer. He is best known for producing and presenting long-running sports chat show ''SportsCafe'', as well as executive producing and occasionally presenting sports current events show '' The Crowd Goes Wild''. Early career Ric Salizzo began a career as a newsreader at radio station Tauranga's Radio 1XX. This was followed by a number of other newsreading positions at private radio stations, before moving to London to work at a radio news agency there. Television career In 1986, Salizzo returned to New Zealand to fill a vacancy at television station TVNZ's ''One News'' sports reporting team.
