''29+1'' is a 2017 Hong Kong drama film directed by Kearen Pang. It is an adaptation of Pang's own one-woman show, ''29+1''. The film stars Chrissie Chau and Joyce Cheng and follows two women who share the same birthday and are at life's crossroads as they are about to turn 30. The film premiered at the 12th Osaka Asian Film Festival where it won the Audience Award. It was released in Hong Kong on 11 May 2017. ''The Brink'' is a 2017 Hong Kong action crime-thriller film directed by Jonathan Li and written by Lee Chun-fai. Lam Suet
Lam Suet (; born 1964), or Lin Xue, is a Hong Kong film actor. Life and career Lam was born in Tianjin, and came to Hong Kong as a youth in 1979 to receive inheritance money left by his grandfather. Soon after, all the money had been squandered and Lam had to work various odd jobs to make a living. In the mid-eighties he got employment on movie sets through the help of friends. He has done different roles, from lighting and props to stage manager and set and script supervisor. Lam gradually developed an interest in acting and by his own account, pestered various directors until they relented and gave him tiny roles. There are two pivotal persons in Lam's acting career. Charmaine Sheh Sze-man (; born 28 May 1975) is a Hong Kong actress. After winning second runner-up in the 1997 Miss Hong Kong pageant, Sheh signed a contract with TVB in 1998. Gordon Lam Ka-tung (林家棟; born 21 September 1967) is a Hong Kong actor, film producer and screenwriter.
