Hindi cinema, popularly known as Bollywood and formerly as Bombay cinema, refers to the film industry based in Mumbai, engaged in production of motion pictures in Hindi language. The popular term Bollywood, is a portmanteau of "Bombay" (former name of Mumbai) and " Hollywood". The industry is a part of the larger Indian cinema, which also includes South Cinema and other smaller film industries. In 2017, Indian cinema produced 1,986 feature films, of which the largest number, 364 have been from Hindi. , Hindi cinema represented 43 percent of Indian net box-office revenue; Tamil and Telugu cinema represented 36 percent, and the remaining regional cinema constituted 21 percent. ''Nikaah'' ( ''marriage contract'') is a 1982 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film produced and directed by B. R. Chopra. The film stars Raj Babbar, Deepak Parashar and Salma Agha in her Bollywood movie debut role. The film also had Asrani and Iftekhar in supporting roles. The film's music was composed by Ravi (music director), Ravi and was a huge hit. The original name of the movie was Triple talaq, Talaq Talaq Talaq, but was renamed Nikaah on the insistence of Islamic clerics. Rati Agnihotri (born 10 December 1960) is an Indian actress, known for acting in Hindi, as well as in Telugu and Tamil language films. Her roles in the cult-tragedy film ''Ek Duuje Ke Liye'' (1981) and the drama film ''Tawaif'' (1985) earned her two nominations for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Ravi Kapoor ( ; born 7 April 1942), known mononymously by his screen name Jeetendra, is an Indian actor who is known for his work in Hindi cinema. He also serves as the chairman of the Balaji Telefilms and Balaji Motion Pictures. Early life Jeetendra was born in a Punjabi Khatri family as Ravi Kapoor in Amritsar, Punjab, to Amarnath and Krishna Kapoor, whose business dealt with imitation jewellery, supplied to film industry. ''Farz aur Kaanoon'' () is a 1982 Indian Hindi-language action film, produced by M. Arjuna Raju and A. S. R. Anjineelu under the Roja Movies banner and directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. Bindiya Goswami is an Indian former actress, who is best known for her works in Hindi cinema throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Vinod Mehra (13 February 1945 – 30 October 1990) was an Indian actor in Bollywood, Indian films. He started out as a child actor in the late 1950s before starting his film career as an adult in 1971. He acted in over 100 films from the 1970s through to his death at the age of 45 in 1990. He was also the producer and director of the film ''Gurudev (film), Gurudev'' which was released 3 years after his death.
