List Of Euro-Western Films
This list of Euro-Western films includes Western-genre films made in Europe by non-Italian production companies, although the term Euro-Western can sometimes include the Italian-produced Spaghetti Western subgenre. Several Euro-Western films, nicknamed sauerkraut Westerns because they were made in Germany and shot in Yugoslavia, were derived from stories by novelist Karl May, and were film adaptations of May's work. One of the most popular German Western franchises was the '' Winnetou'' series, which featured a Native American Apache hero in the lead role. Some new Euro-Westerns emerged in the 2010s, including Kristian Levring's ''The Salvation'', Martin Koolhoven's ''Brimstone'', and Andreas Prochaska's ''The Dark Valley''. Western (genre)
The Western is a genre Setting (narrative), set in the American frontier and commonly associated with Americana (culture), folk tales of the Western United States, particularly the Southwestern United States, as well as Northern Mexico and Western Canada. It is commonly referred to as the "Old West" or the "Wild West" and depicted in Western media as a hostile, sparsely populated frontier in a state of near-total lawlessness patrolled by outlaws, sheriffs, and numerous other Stock character, stock "gunslinger" characters. Western narratives often concern the gradual attempts to tame the crime-ridden American West using wider themes of justice, freedom, rugged individualism, Manifest Destiny, and the national history and identity of the United States. The Coyote (1955 Film)
''The Coyote'' (Spanish: ''El coyote'') is a 1955 Mexican-Spanish western film directed by Joaquín Luis Romero Marchent and Fernando Soler and starring Abel Salazar, Gloria Marín and Manuel Monroy.de España p.215 Based on the character El Coyote created by J. Savage Guns (1961 Film)
''The Savage Guns'' ( es, Tierra brutal) is a 1961 Eurowestern film, an international co-production by British and Spanish producers. Based on a specially commissioned screenplay, ''The San Siado Killings'', written by Peter R. Newman and directed by Michael Carreras, the film is credited as the first traditional Spaghetti Western. The film was noticeably set apart from previous "classic" American westerns starring an American leading cast (Richard Basehart, Don Taylor and Alex Nicol) and Spanish actors in supporting roles (José Manuel Martín, Paquita Rico, María Granada, Fernando Rey and José Nieto) as well as its unique use of the deserts, palm trees, agaves and whitewashed villages of southern Spain. Giovanna Ralli
Giovanna Ralli, (born 2 January 1935), is an Italian stage, film and television actress. Life and career Born in Rome, Ralli debuted as a child actress at 7; at 13 she made her theatrical debut, entering the stage company of Peppino De Filippo. After appearing in Federico Fellini and Alberto Lattuada's ''Variety Lights'' (1950), Ralli had her first film roles of weight in mid-fifties, often in comedy films. In 1959 she had a leading role in Roberto Rossellini's '' General Della Rovere'', that won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival, while in 1960 her performance in '' Escape by Night'', still directed by Rossellini, was awarded with the Golden Gate Award for Best Actress at the San Francisco International Film Festival. Robert Hossein
Robert Hossein (30 December 1927 – 31 December 2020) was a French film actor, director, and writer. He directed the 1982 adaptation of ''Les Misérables'' and appeared in ''Vice and Virtue'', '' Le Casse'', ''Les Uns et les Autres'' and ''Venus Beauty Institute''. West Germany

Aarne Tarkas (until 1947 Saastamoinen, 19 December 1923 – 7 October 1976) was a Finnish film director, screenwriter, producer and actor. Tarkas started his career as a screenwriter for Matti Kassila film ''Radio tekee murron'' (1951) for which they shared a Jussi Award.
