Debreceni Vasutas Sport Club is a professional football club, based in Debrecen, Hungary, that competes in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, the first tier of Hungarian football. They are best known internationally for reaching the group stages of the UEFA Champions League in the 2009–10 season. Debrecen have become the most successful club in Hungary since 2000, winning the Hungarian League seven times. History Debrecen was founded on 12 March 1902 as Debreceni Vasutas Sport Club. The club first reached the Nemzeti Bajnokság I in the 1943–44 season. Debrecen rose to domestic prominence in the early 2000s when they won their first Hungarian league title in 2004–05 season. Péter Halmosi
Péter Halmosi (; born 25 September 1979) is a Hungarian retired professional footballer who played as a midfielder. At international level, he won 35 caps for his country. His previous clubs include Szombathelyi Haladás, Grazer AK, Debrecen, Plymouth Argyle and Hull City. Biography Born in the ancient western city of Szombathely, Halmosi grew up in a family with significant sporting background. Zsolt Laczkó (born 18 December 1986) is a Hungarian former professional footballer who last played as a left wing back or winger for III. Kerületi TVE. Club career Ferencváros Zsolt Laczkó was born in Szeged, Hungary. He debuted in the Hungarian National Championship I in 2004. He played for Ferencvárosi TC 44 matches and scored 12 goals. Olympiacos Laczkó was a free agent and joined Olympiacos's pre-season training. Norbert Sándor Balogh (born 21 February 1996) is a Hungarian Association football, footballer who plays as a Forward (association football), forward for FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda, DAC Dunajská Streda and the Hungary national football team, Hungarian national team. Club career Balogh grew up in very poor circumstances in Hajdúböszörmény, Hajdú County, Hungary. His parents did not earn enough money, therefore he often starved. Balázs Dzsudzsák (; born 23 December 1986) is a Hungarian professional footballer who plays for Nemzeti Bajnokság I club Debreceni VSC. Dzsudzsák began his career at his hometown club Debreceni VSC, winning consecutive league titles in each of his three seasons before departing to PSV of the Netherlands in January 2008, ending the season with the Eredivisie title. Nenad Novaković (Serbian Cyrillic: Ненад Hoвaкoвић; born 14 July 1982) is a Serbian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Péter Czvitkovics (; sr, Петер Цвитковић, Peter Cvitković; born 10 February 1983) is a Hungarian footballer who plays for Hungarian amateur club Unione FC as a right winger.
