The oldest Dane is Christian Mortensen, who emigrated to the United States in 1903, where he died on 25 April 1998, aged 115 years, 252 days. The oldest person to be born and die in Denmark is Karla Lindholm Jensen, who died on 10 December 2020, aged 112 years, 217 days. The Capital Region of Denmark ( da, Region Hovedstaden, ) is the easternmost administrative region of Denmark. The Capital Region has 29 municipalities and a regional council consisting of 41 elected members. As of 1 August 2021 the chairperson is Lars Gaardhøj, who is a member of the Social Democrats party of Denmark. The Capital Region was established on 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform. This reform abolished the traditional counties (Danish plural: , singular: ) and created five regions. As part of this reform 271 smaller municipalities were merged into larger units reducing the number of municipalities to 98. TV 2/Østjylland is one of eight regional TV-stations in the TV 2 (Denmark), TV 2 network in Denmark. The station was founded in 1990, and the first news broadcast was made on 1 April the same year. A supercentenarian (sometimes hyphenated as super-centenarian) is a person who has reached the age of 110 years. This age is achieved by about one in 1,000 centenarians. Supercentenarians typically live a life free of major age-related diseases until shortly before the maximum human lifespan is reached.
