List Of Atlantic Hockey All-Tournament Team
The Atlantic Hockey All-Tournament Team is an honor bestowed at the conclusion of the NCAA Division_I_(NCAA), Division I Atlantic Hockey conference tournament to the players judged to have performed the best during the championship. Currently the team is composed of three Forward (ice hockey), forwards, two Defenceman, defensemen and one goaltender with additional players named in the event of a tie. The All-Tournament Team began being awarded after the first championship in 2004 Atlantic Hockey Men's Ice Hockey Tournament, 2004. It is a continuation of the MAAC All-Tournament Team (listed below) after Atlantic Hockey was formed after the dissolution of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, MAAC ice hockey conference. During the second year of the tournament a trio of players were tabbed as the 'Three Stars of the Tournament' in lieu of naming an All-Tournament Team. Sacred Heart Pioneers Men's Ice Hockey
The Sacred Heart Pioneers men's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents Sacred Heart University. The Pioneers are a member of Atlantic Hockey. They play at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut. From 1993-2016, the Pioneers home arena was the Milford Ice Pavilion in Milford, Connecticut. History Division III Sacred Heart began sponsoring men's ice hockey as a varsity sport in 1993. The team was placed in the South Division of ECAC North/South/Central and because they were not able to schedule all of their ECAC South opponents twice the Pioneers played half a conference schedule in their inaugural year. Holy Cross Crusaders Men's Ice Hockey
The Holy Cross Crusaders men's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents the College of the Holy Cross. The Crusaders are a member of the Atlantic Hockey Association (AHA). They play at the Hart Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. History Holy Cross men's ice hockey began in 1966 and a year later it joined ECAC 2. The Crusaders played in the second tier of college ice hockey for ten years before they played their first playoff game, but once they made it they didn't go very far. Over a six year period Holy Cross wen 2–5 in the conference postseason and never really got close to an NCAA tournament berth. When Division II ice hockey was abandoned in 1984 Holy Cross dropped down to Division III and was placed in ECAC East when ECAC 2 split.
