State Of Wyoming
Wyoming () is a state in the Mountain West subregion of the Western United States. It is bordered by Montana to the north and northwest, South Dakota and Nebraska to the east, Idaho to the west, Utah to the southwest, and Colorado to the south. With a population of 576,851 in the 2020 United States census, Wyoming is the least populous state despite being the 10th largest by area, with the second-lowest population density after Alaska. The state capital and most populous city is Cheyenne, which had an estimated population of 63,957 in 2018. Wyoming's western half is covered mostly by the ranges and rangelands of the Rocky Mountains, while the eastern half of the state is high-elevation prairie called the High Plains. Peter John Kay (born 2 July 1973) is an English actor, comedy writer and stand-up comedian. He has written, produced and acted in several television and film projects, and has written three books. Gay Woodhouse (born January 8, 1950) is an American politician and lawyer who was the 32nd Attorney General of Wyoming and the first female to hold the office. She replaced William U. Hill when he was named to the Supreme Court. She served from November 1998 until June 2001 when she retired to begin a private practice. Joseph Brown Meyer (April 22, 1941 – October 6, 2012) was an American politician from the U.S. state of Wyoming. Background Meyer was born in 1941 in Casper, Wyoming. He graduated from Natrona County High School and was educated at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, from which he earned his undergraduate degree and then his J.D. He began his career as the Fremont County attorney before going into the private practice of law. Political career In 1971, Meyer returned to public service when he was selected to serve as the first assistant director of the Legislative Service Office in Cheyenne during the administration of Governor Stanley K. Hathaway. Meyer worked with lawmakers to prepare hundreds of bills, many of which became and remain state law. Steven F. Freudenthal (born June 8, 1949) is a Democratic politician who served as the 28th Attorney General of Wyoming from 1981 until 1983. Career After graduating from Vanderbilt University, Freudenthal served as an Assistant Attorney General for Wyoming from 1975 until 1977. In 1981, Governor Ed Herschler tapped Freudenthal, who had once been his law partner, to succeed John Troughton as Attorney General of Wyoming. Freudenthal served as Attorney General until 1983. In 1986, Freudenthal was elected to the Wyoming House of Representatives to represent Laramie County. He served two terms before retiring in 1991. In 1999, Freudenthal was chosen by Wyoming Democrats to serve as the state chair of the Wyoming Democratic Party. Freudenthal served until 2001.
