Western Sydney Wanderers FC W-League
Western Sydney Wanderers Football Club is an Australian women's football club based in the western region of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Founded in 2012, it is the affiliated women's team of the A-League team Western Sydney Wanderers. The team currently competes in the A-League Women, the top tier of women's football in Australia. History The announcement of the creation of Western Sydney Wanderers FC on 4 April 2012 by the then FFA CEO Ben Buckley was soon followed by the announcement of an associated women's team which would compete in the W-League. On 5 July 2012, Stephen Roche was announced the inaugural head coach for the team. On 17 July 2014, Norm Boardman was appointed head coach for the team. On 20 May 2016, Richard Byrne was appointed head coach, with Leah Blayney appointed assistant coach and Davide Del Giovine goalkeeping coach. Jada Mathyssen-Whyman
Jada Mathyssen-Whyman is an Australian soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Sydney FC Women team in the W-League. Early life Whyman is of Indigenous Australian heritage, with ancestry from the Wiradjuri and Yorta Yorta peoples. Whyman grew up in Wagga Wagga before moving to Canberra and later Sydney, where she attended Westfields Sports High School. She travelled from Wagga Wagga to both Sydney and Canberra regularly until late 2013 when she moved to the Australian Capital Territory. Playing career Club Whyman's first club in Sydney was Macarthur Rams, joining the club in 2013 whilst still living in Wagga Wagga. Carmelina Moscato (born May 2, 1984) is a Canadian soccer coach and former professional player. She currently coaches Liga MX Femenil club Tigres UANL. She played as a centreback for UPC Tavagnacco in the Serie A, for Piteå IF and Dalsjöfors GoIF in the Damallsvenskan, for Chicago Red Stars, Boston Breakers and Seattle Reign FC in the NWSL, and for Western Sydney Wanderers in the Australian W-League. Alanna Stephanie Kennedy (born 21 January 1995) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Manchester City in the English FA Women's Super League, as well as the Australia national team. Kendall Elizabeth Johnson (born April 24, 1991) is an American professional women's soccer midfielder and defender. She played for the United States U-23 women's national soccer team. Early life Kendall was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and attended Lincoln High School where she was a four-year letter-winner.
