Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side either catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground, or hitting a wicket with the ball before a batter can cross the crease in front of the wicket. Ramesh Gulabrao Borde (22 February 1952 – 8 July 2021) was an Indian cricketer. He played 42 first-class matches and two List A matches between 1972–73 and 1984–85. His elder brother Chandu Borde was also a cricketer. Chandu Borde
Chandrakant Gulabrao "Chandu" Borde (born 21 July 1934), is a former cricketer who was a member of the Indian team between 1958 and 1970. Following his retirement, Borde became a cricket administrator, serving as the Chairman of national selectors. He has received various awards from the Government of India for his contributions to cricket, on and off the field. His younger brother Ramesh Borde was also a cricketer who played for West Zone and Maharashtra in domestic cricket. He published his autobiography in July 2018, titled ''Panther's Paces'' (as told to Mohan Sinha). Vijay Bhosle
Vijay Hanumantrao Bhosle (born 1 October 1937) is a former Indian cricketer who played first-class cricket in India from 1956 to 1971. Bhosle was a middle-order batsman and occasional leg-spin bowler who came close to national selection for some years in the 1960s. He spent most of the first half of his career with Maharashtra and the second half with Bombay. He also represented West Zone from 1963-64 to 1968-69. The highest of his 17 centuries was 208 for Bombay against Rajasthan in the semi-final of the 1968–69 Ranji Trophy. Ajit Prataprao Bhoite (born 9 October 1976 in Baroda, Gujarat) is a former Indian cricketer who played for the Baroda cricket team. He was a right-handed batsman as well as a right-arm offbreak bowler. Bhoite made his first-class debut for Baroda against Gujarat in 1996-97 and made his List A debut the following season. Surendra Bhave
Surendra Shriram Bhave (born 30 March 1966) is a former Indian first-class cricketer who played for his home state Maharashtra from 1986 to 2001. A right-handed opening batsman, noted for his prolific run scoring and ability to build large innings, Bhave regularly captained Maharashtra throughout the 1990s. Bhave had a strong start to his career, after making just one first-class appearance in both 1986/87 and 1987/88 he made the most of his opportunity in 1988/89 by scoring 730 runs at 91.25. Of his four hundreds that season, the biggest was an innings of 274 which he made against a Dilip Vengsarkar led Bombay team. He would score a further six double hundreds in his career, three of them in 1992. Such was his consistency that it wasn't until 1997/98 that he ended a season with an average under 50 and he never scored less than 800 runs from 1992/93 to 1996/97. Bhargav Bhatt (born 13 May 1990) is a cricketer who plays for Baroda in Indian domestic cricket. He is a slow left-arm orthodox bowler. He also plays for Kings XI Punjab in Indian Premier League. Bhatt, in his debut first-class season, picked up 47 wickets from 9 matches to become the highest wicket-taker of the season.
