Valencian People
Valencians ( va, valencians) are the native people of the Valencian Community, in eastern Spain. Legally, Valencians are the inhabitants of the community. José Herrando
José Herrando (Valencia, c. 1720/1721-Madrid, 1763) was a Spanish violinist and composer. Career Herrando was a friend of the writer and mathematician Diego de Torres Villarroel and a fixed musician for some theater companies in Madrid, for which he composed several pieces, such as for the comedy ''Manos blancas no ofenden'' (White hands do not offend) by Pedro Calderón de la Barca. He spent some time in the service of the Duke of Arcos theater, to which he dedicated his ''Arte y puntual explicación del modo de tocar el violín con perfección y facilidad'' (Art and timely explanation of how to play the violin with perfection and ease) published in Paris in 1756. This was the first published attempt by a Spaniard at teaching this instrument. Its front featured an engraving by Carmona with his portrait. Nino Bravo
Luis Manuel Ferri Llopis (3 August 1944 – 16 April 1973), better known by his stage name Nino Bravo, was a Spanish baroque pop and ballad singer. Early life Ferri Llopis was born in Aielo de Malferit (Valencia), Spain. His father, Luis Manuel, a salesman, moved the family to Valencia, in search of better opportunities, when his son was three years old. Young Luis met, in 1958, bassist Vicente López, who introduced him to other Valencian musicians. Ferri Llopis discovered he could sing while on a trip with López and Paco Ramón. López recalled that he was surprised, upon waking up from a nap, to hear him singing Domenico Modugno's hit "Libero". Deeply impressed, Lopez predicted that Ferri Llopis would become a superstar. Meanwhile, Ferri Llopis took a job as a jeweler, also working for his mother, who owned a supermarket. Ignacio Pinazo Camarlench
Ignacio Pinazo Camarlench (January 11, 1849 – October 18, 1916) was a Spanish painter from Valencia. He was one of the most prominent Impressionist painters from late nineteenth century Spain. Biography Born into a poor family in Valencia, Pinazo was forced from a young age to assist in supporting the family by practising various trades. He had only attended eight grades when his mother died of the cholera, and young Ignazio was variously employed as a silversmith, a painter of tiles, and a decorator of fans. After his father's death, he lived with his grandparents, and in 1864 enrolled in the San Carlos Academy of Fine Arts, Valencia, earning his living as a hatter. His artistic career started when he was 21, and he achieved his first success in Barcelona three years later. In 1871, work by him was displayed in the National Exhibition of Fine Arts for the first time. In 1873 the sale of a painting provided sufficient funds for him to visit Rome for the first time. Vicente Masip
Vicente Masip (also Maçip) (1475 in Andilla – 1545 in Valencia) was a Spanish painter of the Renaissance period. His son was Vicente Juan Masip, and his grandson was named Vicente Masip Comes, also known as Vicent de Joanes. Born in Andilla, he was influenced by Paolo de San Leocadio and Rodrigo de Osona on the Quattrocento style. He is considered a Quattrocento painter. One of his early works was the altarpiece of Porta-Coeli in the Museu de Belles Arts de València. He was also responsible for the old high altar of the Segorbe Cathedral between 1529 and 1532, perhaps already counting on the help of his son Juan, which would explain the change in the orientation of his painting. He is also attributed the altarpiece of the Virgin of the Remedy of the Church of San Bartolomé de Benicarlo. It is a painting of the ''Virgin and Child Enthroned'' surrounded by various saints. Victoria Francés
Victoria Francés (born October 25, 1982) is a Spanish illustrator. Life Francés was born in Valencia on October 25, 1982, though she spent part of her childhood in Galicia. She returned to her hometown to earn her degree from the San Carlos School of Fine Arts, at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. The first volume of the ''Favole'' trilogy was her first illustrated work to be published. Manifested throughout the entirety of the ''Favole'' trilogy (2004–07) are themes emerging from Dark Romanticism, highly influenced by both the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood and well-known works of Gothic art. Her work received a number of awards and achieved great success in countries where it was published. Dark Horse became interested in her work, and Francés has been published in North America. Vicente De Espona
Vicente de Espona (24 March 1918 – 23 October 1995) was a Spanish painter and sculptor. He was born in Valencia, but completed the majority of his work in São Paulo, Marbella, and San Pedro de Alcántara, where many of his public works are displayed today. Prior to his career as an artist, de Espona worked as a consulting lawyer at the Banco Popular Español in Barcelona. In 1950, he requested a leave of absence from the bank to move to Brazil, where he dedicated his life to artistic pursuits. Works De Espona's publicly-displayed work is primarily located in São Paulo, Marbella, and San Pedro de Alcántara. São Paulo De Espona lived in São Paulo, Brazil, from 1957 to 1968.
