The VTB United League 2012–13 was the fourth complete season of the VTB United League, which is Northern and Eastern Europe's top-tier level men's professional club basketball competition. The 2018–19 VTB United League was the 10th complete season of the VTB United League. It was also the sixth season that the league functions as the Russian domestic first tier level. It started in October 2018 with the first round of the regular season and ended in June 2019 with the last game of the finals. CSKA Moscow is the defending champion. BC Astana
Astana Basketball Club ( kk, Astana Basketbol Kluby), commonly referred to as BC Astana, is a Kazakh professional basketball club that is based in Astana, Kazakhstan. Founded in 2011, it has competed in the Kazakhstan Basketball Championship and the VTB United League since, obtaining a slew of domestic titles in the process. BC Enisey
BC Enisey (russian: БК Енисей) is a Russian professional basketball team from the city of Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, Russia. Since the 2011–12 season, Enisey plays its national domestic league games in the VTB United League. The team colors are blue and white. The club's full name is Basketball Club Enisey Krasnoyarsk. History Enisey Krasnoyarsk was founded as Polytechnic, and played its games at the Krasnoyarsk State Technical University. The team started off in the lower leagues of the Soviet Union, and its best achievement was winning the USSR Cup for teams in Siberia in 1988. BC Khimki (russian: БК Химки) is a Russian professional basketball team that is based in Khimki, Moscow Oblast. The club's senior men's first team participates in the Russian Basketball Super League 1. The club's full official name is BC Khimki Moscow Region. Khimki has a Moscow-based rivalry with the Russian club CSKA Moscow. The 2015–16 VTB United League was the seventh complete season of the VTB United League. It was also the third season that the league functioned as the Russian domestic first tier level. CSKA Moscow was the defending champion, and the team successfully defended its title. Teams Krasnye Krylia withdrew from the league as the Samara Sports Palace was not adequate for the VTB United League (such as a minimum requirement of 3,000 seats). It planned to reapply for the 2016–17 season after renovations. In its place, Georgian Superliga side VITA Tbilisi was chosen in July 2015, the first side from that country to play in the league.
