The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is a public land-grant research university in Paradise, Nevada. The campus is about east of the Las Vegas Strip. It was formerly part of the University of Nevada from 1957 to 1969. Dan "Tito" Davis (born 1953) is an American writer. Davis was a fugitive from US authorities between 1994 and 2007, when he was renditioned back to the US from Venezuela. He is the author of the book ''Gringo: My Life on the Edge as an International Fugitive''. Education and early life Dan Davis was born in South Dakota. He was on the wrestling team in high school and became a professional horse jockey afterwards. Davis began selling legal ephedrine pills (white crosses) in 1972, starting with Black Hills State College, before transferring to University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he supplied legal ephedrine pills to the Bandidos Motorcycle Club. Death Row Records is an American record label that was founded in 1991 by The D.O.C., Dr. Dre, Suge Knight, and Dick Griffey. The label became a sensation by releasing multi-platinum hip-hop albums by West Coast-based artists such as Dr. Dre (''The Chronic''), Snoop Dogg (''Doggystyle'', ''Tha Doggfather''), Tha Dogg Pound (''Dogg Food''), and 2Pac (''All Eyez on Me'', The Don Killuminati: 7 Day Theory) during the 1990s. At its peak, Death Row was making over US$100 million a year.
