Botho University
Botho University (formerly known as Botho College/NIIT) is Botswana's largest private tertiary educational provider, founded in 1997. The college offers certificates, diplomas and graduate degrees in accountancy and computer science. It is the first private tertiary institution in the country to be accredited by thTertiary Education Council(TEC). All of its programs are also accredited by the Botswana Qualification Authority (BQA). It has trained 16,000 graduates, and enrolls 4,000 students, supported by 150 academic staff. Lerotholi Polytechnic is a technical and vocational school in Maseru, Lesotho. History and operations Lerotholi Polytechnic (LP) is an autonomous public institution established in 1905. It is governed by the Lerotholi Polytechnic Act of 1997 and offers both Crafts and Technician programmes .The institution comprises four schools, namely, the School of Engineering and Technology (SET) and the School of the Built Environment (SOBE) which offer certificates in craft programs and diplomas in engineering. Education in Lesotho has undergone reforms in recent years, meaning that primary education is now free, universal, and compulsory. The Human Rights Measurement Initiative (HRMI) finds that Lesotho is fulfilling only 72.5% of what it should be fulfilling for the right to education based on the country's level of income. HRMI breaks down the right to education by looking at the rights to both primary education and secondary education. While taking into consideration Lesotho's income level, the nation is achieving 92.1% of what should be possible based on its resources (income) for primary education but only 52.8% for secondary education.
