The following is a list of characters from the anime, manga, and light novel series ''Tokyo Ravens'' written by Kōhei Azano and illustrated by Sumihei. Main characters Harutora Tsuchimikado : The main protagonist of the first arc and the son of a branch family from the Tsuchimikado clan. Despite being born into a distinguished Onmyouji family, he has no magical powers. He had been living a quiet and normal life, as he could not accomplish anything without any magical powers. When he was young, he made a promise to Natsume Tsuchimikado to become her shikigami and protect her. He goes to school with two close friends: Touji and Hokuto. In the first few episodes, shows his strong feelings for Hokuto and cares for her deeply. After witnessing the tragic death of Hokuto, he became Natsume's shikigami to keep the promise he made to her many years ago. Tokyo Ravens
is a Japanese light novel series written by Kōhei Azano and illustrated by Sumihei. It was adapted into a manga series in 2010. It received an anime series on October 9, 2013 and ended on March 26, 2014. Funimation simulcasted the series on their website. Plot Onmyodou magic was a powerful technique which was used by the Japanese during World War I. Later, infamous Yakou Tsuchimikado performed a ritual known as the 'Taizan Fukun Ritual', which will eventually bring out Japan as a formidable force. However, the ritual goes horribly wrong and the result of this becomes what is now known as the "Great Spiritual Disaster", an incident which haunts the entire Japanese continent to date. In addition to this, the Onmyo Agency was established to monitor supernatural activity in the area and to combat any spirits or demons that would make their way into the real world. Joel McDonald (actor)
Joel McDonald is an American voice actor, voice director, and scriptwriter who worked on English versions of anime series at Funimation. Biography Since McDonald was 7, he had a love for acting. He soon started acting in plays at school and church, participating in community theater, secondary school theater and in speech competitions. Later, he acquired a BFA in Acting and Directing from Sam Houston State College.
