Tibetic Languages

Neten Chokling
Neten Chokling Rinpoche (), is also referred as to the 4th Neten Chokling Rinpoche. Life Neten Chokling was born on August 10 1973, into a farming family in Wangdue Phodrang in Bhutan. He was recognized by the 16th Karmapa and Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche as being the reincarnation of Neten Chokling Pema Gyurme. At the age of four, he was taken to his monastery — the Pema Ewam Chögar Gyurme Ling Monastery — in Bir, India, and enthroned by Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche in Clement Town at the Ngedön Gatsal Ling monastery. Before arriving in his home monastery, Rinpoche was also enthroned in Rumtek by H.H. 16th Karmapa, who gave him the name Rigdzin Gyurme Dorje. He has received the transmissions of the Kangyur, Nyingma Gyübum, Nyingma Kama, Rinchen Terdzö and Chokling Tersar , as well as many other teachings from Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. Milarepa (2006 Film)
''Milarepa'' () is a 2006 Tibetan-language film about the life of the most famous Tibetan tantric yogi, the eponymous Milarepa. The film was shot in the Spiti Valley, high in the Himalayas in the Zanskar region close to the border between India and Tibet due to the location's resemblance to the Tibetan landscape. Directed by Neten Chokling, a Lama from Western Bhutan who has previously worked with Khyentse Norbu on the films such as '' The Cup'' and ''Travellers and Magicians'', the film is about the adventurous formative years of the legendary Buddhist mystic, Milarepa (1052-1135) who is one of the most widely known Tibetan Saints. Lu Chuan (born 8 February 1971) is a Chinese filmmaker, screenwriter and producer. He is the son of novelist Lu Tianming (). Education Educated at the in Nanjing, Lu spent two years serving in the Army as a secretary to a general. After his time in the army, Lu attended the Beijing Film Academy for a master's degree in directing. While there, he studied the works of his favorite directors including Ingmar Bergman, Jim Jarmusch, and Pier Paolo Pasolini. His dissertation was on the American filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. ''Kekexili: Mountain Patrol'' (; bo, ཨ་ཆེན་གངས་རྒྱལ།) is a 2004 Chinese film directed by Lu Chuan that depicts the struggle between vigilante rangers and bands of poaching, poachers in the remote Tibetan region of Kekexili (Hoh Xil). It was inspired by the Documentary film, documentary ''Balance'' by Peng Hui. Despite its realistic, detached style, the film evokes the dramatic Western movie, Western genre in several ways.
