''The Land Before Time'' is a media franchise that began in 1988 with the release of the eponymous theatrical film directed by Don Bluth and featuring executive producers Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. Full-motion video (FMV) is a video game narration technique that relies upon pre-recorded video files (rather than sprites, vectors, or 3D models) to display action in the game. GameRankings was a video gaming review aggregator that was founded in 1999 and owned by CBS Interactive. It indexed over 315,000 articles relating to more than 14,500 video games. GameRankings was discontinued in December 2019, with its staff being merged with the similar aggregator Metacritic.
