''The Bellflower Bunnies'' (french: La Famille Passiflore) is a children's animated series based on the '' Beechwood Bunny Tales'' books by Geneviève Huriet, Amélie Sarn and Loïc Jouannigot. It debuted on TF1, a French television network, on 24 December 2001. Many French and Canadian companies have participated in the show's production over the years; TF1 has always been involved. The series is written by Valérie Baranski, and produced by Patricia Robert. Moran Caouissin directed the first season, and Eric Berthier did the last two. The show centres on the adventures and exploits of the Bellflower family, a clan of seven rabbits who live in Beechwood Grove. ''Periwinkle at the Full Moon Ball'' (french: Le premier bal d'Agaric Passiflore) is the first book in the ''Beechwood Bunny Tales'' series. It was originally published by France's Éditions Milan in 1987, and in the United States by Gareth Stevens in 1991. In its native country, the book won the Prix Saint-Exupéry for 1988, and the Prix de la Ville de Paris for its author. Story A young rabbit named Periwinkle Bellflower ("Agaric Passiflore" in the French version) learns of the summertime Full Moon Ball that will soon take place in the community of Beechwood Grove. Unlike the other rabbits in his family, he cannot dance, and this makes him sad. But, with the help of a conniving magpie, Magda, and a wood pigeon and a frog as his teachers, he soon learns how to do so in a couple of days. ''Family Moving Day'' (french: La famille Passiflore déménage) is the seventh book in the ''Beechwood Bunny Tales'' series. It was published in 1992 by Éditions Milan in France, and Gareth Stevens in the United States. In the book, the Bellflower family of rabbits move to a new house on the other side of the hill near which they live. Everyone is delighted to go, except Periwinkle, who does not easily adapt to new settings. In response, he runs away, and it is up to his father Bramble to find him. As of 2008, this is the last book in the ''Beechwood'' franchise to have an English translation available. However, the original French series is still being published, with over 30 titles to date. Versions of ''Family Moving Day'' have also been published in Korean and Slovene.
