Sussex Cricket Board
The Sussex Cricket Board is the former governing body for all recreational cricket in the historic county of Sussex. On 1 November 2015, the Sussex Cricket Board (SCB) merged with Sussex County Cricket Club (SCCC) to form a single governing body for cricket in Sussex, called Sussex Cricket Limited (SCL). From 1999 to 2003 the Board fielded a team in the English domestic one-day tournament, matches which had List-A status. David Hussey
David John Hussey (born 15 July 1977) is an Australian cricket coach and former cricketer. Hussey is a right-handed batter and can also bowl right-arm off breaks. He is the younger brother of former Australian cricketer Michael Hussey. He was captain of the Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League. Australian domestic career Hussey's cricketing prowess was perhaps first widely acknowledged after an innings for the Victorian Bushrangers in 2003–04, his first full season of first-class cricket. Hussey scored 212 not out as his side scored a record 455/7 in the 4th innings to beat New South Wales in Newcastle. He finished the Australian season with an aggregate 857 runs at an average of 61. Hugo Southwell
Hugo Finlay Grant Southwell (born 14 May 1980 in London) is a retired Scottish rugby union footballer. He played as a fullback, centre and wing. Career He played for London Wasps as well as Stade Français, Edinburgh, Worcester Warriors and Bristol Rugby during his career. He qualified for Scotland through a maternal grandfather from Falkirk. Southwell made his Scotland debut as a replacement in 2004 against Samoa in New Zealand. He made a try-scoring debut at Murrayfield as he crossed the line against Australia in the opening match of the 2004 Autumn tests which was the first of his eight international tries. Southwell was restored to the Scotland line-up for the 2005 Autumn test against New Zealand and rewarded Frank Hadden with a fine display against the All Blacks. Stuart Simmonds (born 23 January 1967) is an English cricketer and author. Simmonds is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm medium-fast. He was born at Birmingham. Simmonds represented the Sussex Cricket Board in a single List A match against Hertfordshire in the 1999 NatWest Trophy. In his only List A match, he scored an unbeaten 14 runs, while taking a 2 wickets at a bowling average of 25.00, with figures of 2/50. Matt Prior
Matthew James Prior (born 26 February 1982) is a South African-born English former cricketer, who played for England in Test cricket and for Sussex County Cricket Club in domestic cricket. He was a wicket-keeper and his aggressive right-handed batting enabled him to open the innings in ODI matches, even when he made very limited appearance in shorter forms of the game. With an international Test debut score of 126, Prior became the first English wicket-keeper to hit a century in his debut match in early 2007. His glovework, however, was criticised. Despite a successful tour of Sri Lanka with the bat, Prior's keeping was less successful, and he was dropped from the team for the 2008 tour of New Zealand. He returned for the 2008 series against South Africa, and was retained into 2009, where he became the second-fastest England keeper to reach 1,000 Test runs, behind Les Ames. Jonathan James Newell (born 30 September 1978) is a former English cricketer. Newell was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm off break. He was born at Crawley, Sussex. Newell represented the Sussex Cricket Board in a single List A match against Hertfordshire in the 1999 NatWest Trophy. In 2005, he joined Buckinghamshire.
