A villain is an "evil" character in a story, whether a historical narrative or, especially, a work of fiction. In soap operas, the villain, sometimes called a "bad guy", is an antagonist, tending to have a negative effect on other characters. A female villain is sometimes called a villainess or "bad girl". A villain (also known as a "black hat" or "bad guy"; the feminine form is villainess) is a stock character, whether based on a historical narrative or one of literary fiction. Janet Dillon
Janet Green (née Marlowe) is a fictional character that appeared on the daytime soap opera, ''All My Children''. She is commonly known for terrorizing the residents of Pine Valley, including her sister Natalie Marlowe and the murder of Will Cortlandt. Janet frequently suffers from bouts of psychosis resulting from emotional abuse inflicted upon her since childhood. While experiencing psychosis, she frequently hallucinates two-way conversations with her reflection in the mirror. John Dixon (As The World Turns)
John Dixon M.D. is a fictional character on the American TV soap opera, ''As the World Turns''. He was portrayed by Larry Bryggman from July 18, 1969 until December 14, 2004. Dixon is a cardiologist at Oakdale Memorial Hospital where he is also Chief and Acting Chief of Staff at Memorial Hospital. Though the character stopped appearing in 2004, when Bryggman left the show, no mention was made of his having left town. Greenlee Smythe is a fictional character from the American daytime drama, '' All My Children''.
