It is New Zealand's longest-running drama and soap opera, being broadcast continuously for over 7,500 episodes and 30 years, and is one of the most watched television programmes in New Zealand. Producer, actor, scriptwriter and director Ali Karim was born in Tehran on 10 October 1977.
